Short YouTube video excerpt from Real Estate Team OS (June 9, 2025) in which two speakers discuss hiring Transaction Coordinators (TCs). They note the last two TCs were internal hires (agents seeking less travel), emphasize the need for both administrative competence and client-focused empathy, and report receiving 400 applicants for a TC role—highlighting the difficulty of finding the right candidate.
Chapters
The last two TCs we've hired came from inside the organization. They were actually agents in the field that wanted a different life. They had small children. They were tired of running around town opening doors. They understood real estate at a high level. When you're hiring, it's looking for someone that, yes, can do administrative check off the boxes, but it's somebody that also really just enjoys solving those problems and loves people enough or cares enough about that client experience piece. Marry the two parts. And to say yes, I'm going to take really good care of the checkboxes and. But I'm also going to take really good care of the people.
For us, it's almost like looking for that needle in the haystack. It's not as evidently available as you would like to think. And so we've gone through a ton of interviews to find that one person that.
I heard you had 400 applicants.
We did.
For a TC position. So the ability to comb through and really find the right person. Like, what a great pool. Yeah.
And we don't compromise.
Two teams explain where they find TCs and the roles they play. Check out the second episode of our summit series on real estate. Team OS.
