A short YouTube clip (Real Estate Team OS) advising real estate agents to be intentional about building a team: determine what you want to build and envision a 5-year horizon rather than reacting to immediate needs. The speaker warns against following the common cycle (get licensed → succeed → build a team) without clear goals. The clip ends with a promotional mention of the Real Estate Team OS Summit series.

Breaking the cycle in team building is important. And thinking about what are you wanting to build, right? Because everyone in the industry will talk about, you know, you get to a certain point, build a team. Why? Why do you want to build a team? Don't just look at the next 12 months because you might have to have somebody do your paperwork or have somebody like we did 15 years ago is I have leads, I'm going to fill that spot. Ask yourself clearly in the beginning, what am I building? What do I want it to look like? And I know no one likes to ask this question, but to five years from now matters. Don't just do it arbitrarily. And it's a big cycle that happens in the industry often is get your license, become a successful agent, build a team. What does that mean? Right. Where are you going? What are you building? And I think that question alone can help a lot of people before you start building.
We just launched the Summit series with four real estate team leaders. Watch or listen. Right now on real estate team OS.
