A short YouTube clip from Real Estate Team OS (Tech Timber episode) where Justin Benson and another speaker advise that teams should document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) before selecting real estate technology. They stress the CRM as the central hub for data flows and recommend choosing tools that support documented processes and fit the budget.
Picking real estate technology is as easy as this.
I think where people get stuck a lot of the times is not knowing how to assemble a tech stack in the first place. Like, FUB is obviously the commonality. It's the hub of the wheel. All of the data flows in and out of your CRM, or at least that's how it should go. After we get out of that, we get a lot of people confused about, man, what do I use for this or that? What's the best way of doing X, Y and Z? I'm not sure. And my very first question is, what? Well, what's your SOP on that process? Do you have it written down, like your way of doing things there? Oh, no, we don't like. Okay, well, that's step number one, because picking technology is as easy as this. We get our SOPs written down on paper in front of us, our system, our process of doing things. And then the way we pick technology is we go look through the different options and see which one helps us accomplish that process in the most efficient manner that fits our budget.
