Katy Day says real estate teams that hire agents before scaling lead generation watch them churn. Her team relies on organic leads from social media, past clients, and referrals instead of paid sources.
There's a losing battle in the process of building a real estate team, but you can't avoid it.
The issue that you run into and what a lot of people run into is they'll scale the team, but they haven't yet scaled the leads or the support, right? And so you have all these agents come that you promise them the world and then, you know, you don't actually have the things that the leads to provide or the opportunity or, you know, whatever it may be, and then they leave. And so it's, you're, you're in a, in a losing battle. And so for us, you know where we stand, the majority of our leads are more organic, right? So from social media, from, from past client and sphere referrals, agent to agent referrals and things like that, that don't cost us money up front per se, then trying to figure out, like what partners we're going to try to, you know, generate more leads from or how we're going to do different things wasn't something that we felt was the best move for us, you know, and our team.
