A short YouTube conversation between Real Estate Team OS and guest Katie Day about whether team leaders should leave sales production. Katie argues she continues to sell homes to stay market-informed, model work for agents, and better coach them—particularly noting leaders returning to production during the 2022–2023 market shift.
Leaving sales production is one of those topics like, well, yeah, of course. That's what everyone is supposed to do. What's your relationship been with that concept?
I like to continue to sell homes, to understand what's happening in the market, to understand what's working and not working and getting offers accepted, to be able to coach my agents. Especially in 2022 and 2023, as the market shifted, I saw a lot of mega team leaders, you know, step back into production, doing the things right to set the example and to show, you know, their agents what, you know, hard work looks like and to better train their agents and things like that. So, you know, in looking to a lot of friends that, you know, have a lot more agents that are selling a lot more homes than I was like, okay, like this, this makes sense. And I should probably keep, you know, doing it for the foreseeable future. Learn more with Katie Day.
