Drew builds real estate teams like special forces units: small, tight-knit groups with strong culture. The tension is scaling without losing what makes them work. He focuses on developing leaders who can replicate the model across new markets.
Getting big by staying small, building more teams by building more leaders.
I'm very interested in small unit tactics, and I think that probably relates to baseball. You know, you got nine guys on the field, right, and they all have to do one thing perfectly to win. When I imagined myself working with the team at the beginning, it was me and six or seven people, almost like a special forces or a SEAL team of real estate agents. But then my business brain is like, okay, but that's not scalable. So it really goes back to sort of this, this corporate idea of building leaders so that from my team I can build out leaders who can have their own sort of SEAL team of real estate agents in various markets. So that's really the idea. We want to get big, but we want to do it in a very, a very tight, culture driven way.
Drew's just three years into his real estate career, more on the team he's building and the way he's building it in our latest episod.
