05 - Wealthy People Are Bad

This is a YouTube video titled "05 - Wealthy People Are Bad" created in April 2014, featuring a dialogue between Jessica Ortner and Nick Ortner. The content is a guided discussion and tapping session addressing common negative beliefs and emotional shackles related to wealth, money, and wealthy people. They explore themes of shame, stereotypes, and the energetic relationship people have with money, aiming to help viewers shift their mindset towards abundance and value creation. The conversation is supportive and therapeutic in nature, focusing on personal growth and financial mindset transformation.
Wealthy people are bad.
Absolutely.
Yeah. They're horrible. They do bad things.
They're greedy, take advantage of others. It's the only way that you could get there.
Yeah. Someone gave it to them. They didn't deserve it.
Yeah.
But I kind of feel ashamed. I kind of want to be wealthy.
So you'll be one of them.
I know. And then no one will like me and I'll be like myself.
Definitely not any of our family.
There's a huge tribal pool to fit together. They've done a study where they found out that the 12 people you spend the most time with in a given year, if you average their salary or their income, that's likely to be what you're earning in that year.
I think that there's some tribal shackles here where we're connected to other people.
What'S acceptable, what's allowed. When we feel that shame. And for a lot of people, it's a secret shame because we don't want to admit we want to be like them. Realize you're lumping things together. And this is really powerful. If you take money, which can be of higher integrity and beautiful joyful experience, a beautiful reservoir for stored energy that you can tap into whenever you like, and you link it with the bad things that some people have done using money.
Right.
You limit your choices.
Feels very uncomfortable.
Yeah. They're mushed together. So there are some wealthy people that have done horrible things.
There are.
There's also poor people that have done horrible things.
There are.
And when we say that wealthy people are bad, we're stereotyping. There's some wealthy people that have done really beautiful things, and there's some poor people that have done some really beautiful things. If we can see people as human, then we start having more freedom.
And the energy here is that money is a neutral carrier, kind of like electricity. Electricity can be used for some really amazing things and it could be used to electrocute someone and torture them. So is electricity the root of all evil? No, money's got that one down. Money is the root of all evil. And there may have been a time where if you had money, that the role that you played was one of power over that really damaged and depleted and suppressed and oppressed and abused many other people that were down the chain from you. Today there is an opportunity for you to use your money in ways that are extremely heart centered, humanitarian, personally enriching, tribally enriching.
Well, and just to acquire the money by adding value to the world rather than taking from the world.
Right.
You don't have to, you know, do strip coal mining to get wealthy now.
You don't.
And you don't have to have poor people that are not having enough food to support themselves or their family mining that you can have different. You know, the Internet has made so many much available to us. We can reach thousands of people, millions of people all around the world. We have access to so much and we can exchange information in powerful, thoughtful ways that makes other people's lives better and that doesn't have to take away from anybody. There's an abundance now that we've never had before. But as long as there's that secret shame where we blaming wealthy people and money for all the bad things that happen, just like a lot of people blame weight for everything to do with everything, we do take away a lot of power. We don't have choice in that.
Right. And there's an interesting aspect to this energetically and this is where tapping really can help someone, even if they're in a position where they're already engaging with other people and they're seeing certain patterns come up and they start feeling like, well, I need to boss them, I need to control them, I can't be nice to them. Guess what? That's a shackle on a manager or a boss. And so wherever you are right now in your position, in your engagement with other people, clearing this, that there's a shackle here, there's one that we're being tied to an old way of being in relationship with one another. And that can be extremely powerful for everyone. When you start shifting your attitude and expectations, you stop calling him the boss. You stop feeling like you're subservient. You may have a particular kind of spoon that's involved in the business, but that doesn't mean that you're not an important spirit co creator as well as being an owner of your own life. Me, myself and I Incorporated working with you, yourself and your wonderful beauty incorporated. And that kind of attitude shift is part of what we mean by the new energy of money. And to get there, you need to look at some of these old patterns. Like being wealthy is evil. How being wealthy is evil. Does anything happen to you and your body? If I say purple people eaters are messing up the fast food restaurants, my body goes, huh, that's a nice fantasy. I want to get my attitude around money is evil. Wealthy people are greedy and horrible.
You can't trust them.
You can't trust them. Oh, if you feel that reaction in your body, guess what? There's an energetic shackle that is involved in your relationship with people that have a lot of money.
If you don't want to be one of them, it's going to be really hard to keep this stuff around. You're going to find all kinds of reasons to spend it, lose it, misplace it, not allow it into your life to begin with. Because your primitive brain and your integrity are saying, no, this stuff is dangerous. Keep it away. It's like, I mean, if I tried to give it to you, it literally like I was handing you poisonous snakes. And that's because you have a beautiful integrity. The truth is though, that money is not bad and wealthy people are human beings.
Cut across the hole. Yeah, I do, I do believe that in work with my clients that money is a magnifier. And so you, if you have a shackle, that money is an evil thing. Money is the root of all evil. Guess what? When you have a lot of money, you're going to feel that shackle digging you into the bone. It's going to feel so uncomfortable every time that you make a move in a particular direction. And so money does act as a magnifier on our emotional state. And sometimes it turns people into really get away from me kind of people. And sometimes it magnifies a heart that's really developed and cultivated in an extraordinary way. And we, we've read why you're joining us here and we know where you want to be in relationship to energy. So let's, let's take something what the money's the root of all evil or.
If I don't want to be greedy, I think something about greed being bad.
Yeah.
Like having money.
Wealthy people are greedy.
Yeah.
Sorry.
Take a nice deep breath and get in your body. When we're dealing with these old ancestral and deeply held beliefs, the deeper you can feel, the more you can be in the now, the quicker you'll be able to shift it. So we want to help you get from this noisy, guilt ridden, shame filled spot where you can't be present with people you love and you can't move in the direction you want to go to a place where you have ease and clear paths forward. So be as connected to your body as you can as you do this tapping. So are you going to lead it or am I?
Would you?
Sure. Take a nice deep breath. Karate chop. Even though wealthy people are greedy.
Even though wealthy people are greedy.
It's just the truth.
It's just the truth.
So I can't be wealthy?
So I can't be wealthy because I.
Don't want to be greedy.
I do not want to be greedy.
I'd like to find a new way to look at this.
I would really like to find a new way to look at this.
Even though everybody knows wealthy people are.
Greedy, Even though everybody knows wealthy people are greedy.
It's just what is true.
It's just true. 1 percenters.
What if it's not necessarily true?
What if it's not always necessarily true?
What if that was something made up by people who felt stuck what if.
That was something made up by people.
That were stuck who blamed the people with wealth?
Who blamed the people with wealth?
When people are disempowered when people are disempowered, they blame other people.
They blame other people.
And I know sometimes my parents are pretty disempowered.
Yeah, and I know sometimes my parents were pretty disempowered.
Top of the head. I bet they wanted to be wealthy, too.
I bet they wanted to be wealthy, too.
Eyebrow. They didn't know how to do it.
They didn't know how to do it.
Side of the eye. They felt disempowered.
They felt disempowered.
Under the eye. They didn't have these lock picks they.
Didn'T have these lock picks under the nose.
They were stuck with those old beliefs.
They were stuck with those old beliefs.
And so they blamed people that somehow escaped those beliefs.
So they blamed people that somehow escaped those beliefs.
Kalibn they didn't understand how they created.
Wealth they didn't understand how people created.
Wealth under the arms. They felt disempowered.
So they felt disempowered Top of the.
Head and possibly ashamed.
And possibly ashamed.
Eyebrow. They lumped all that shame and disempowerment on wealthy people.
They lumped all that shame and disempowerment.
On wealthy people side of the eye. And told us they were greedy and.
Bad and told us they were all gre. All greedy and bad.
Under the eye. But I know some people with some.
Money but I do I know some people with some money under the nose.
And they don't seem to be all bad.
They don't seem to be all bad.
Tin what if I'm allowed to be wealthy?
Oh, what if I'm allowed to be wealthy?
Collarbone I know the lock pick I.
Know the lock pick under the arm.
And I don't have to be evil or bad.
And I do not have to be evil or bad.
It's of that. I don't even have to be greedy.
I don't even have to be Greedy.
I can just allow abundance to flow into my life.
I can allow abundance to flow from my, from my life.
I'm ready for that now.
I'm ready for that now.
Nice deep breath.
And if that didn't feel completely true, that's one of the things that we do with energy tapping is that we'll make a statement like, I'm ready to let abundance flow in my life. I'm ready to be wealthy. And just like if you said, I'm a selfish, bad person, you may hear some echoes in your body, but a part of you is not feeling that way. We're not black and white inside. There's a scale. That's why oftentimes we'll ask, how strong does this feel in your body? 0 to 10. And whether you give it a number, you just feel for the sensation of it becoming less and less and less. The interesting thing is that if you feel a resistance to ever be considered one of them, the wealthy, and you feel that in your throat, like, oh, I'd rather be choked to death than to be viewed as one of them, and that feeling starts relaxing. Guess what? You're not really bound by the shackle anymore. Then you start getting to be at choice. What is it that you want to express in the world? Is that something that naturally generates a lot of money or can, or is it something that's simpler? There are things that again, the primitive brain looks for a trend. So if you're used to being in poverty mentality, that's where you grew up, that's where your friends are, and you start having some extra money from, let's say you do a painting and you, you have it at a gallery, and that gallery charges a lot more for paintings than you've ever considered being worth. And you get $1,000 from one painting that took you a couple of days or a week to do well. Now if you have an energy, a shackle around having wealth, and for someone who has a poverty energy around them, $1,000 of sudden money, wow, that's really uncomfortable. It's moving like toward wealthy. You'll stop it. You'll do something with the money. And if we know from your feedback that a lot of you have been doing stuff to not to get back to where you were. And that's a natural thing.
It is.
And it's a part of not being them. And that's where if we start noticing that there are people with qualities of human beings and some of them have money and some of them don't, the primitive brain goes you know, my tribe is more like lovers and co creators. They're my tribe. They're people that enjoy adding value in the world, whether it's in engineering. You have 18 patents, right?
Yes.
I know you don't toot your horn, but that's adding value in that context. Us putting this energy out for however many people to enjoy or be evoked by it and to be freed by it, that's something different. And I love that. That some people share their experiences of life so that other people can know what's going on inside of them. We see that in our group work and it's a beautiful thing.
We shared some very positive statements at the end of some of these. If you notice specific events come up, write them down. We're going to get into that in another recording. But write down the thoughts and the memories that are coming up because those are really good to tap on and realize that you're adding value by being here right now. You are making a difference in your world by being here and investing your time in clearing some of this and having a better understanding. We really value that you're doing that because each time you do this, you're making the world a better place. And other people are going to pick up your energy and whether they understand what's happening or not, they'll be like, I want that. Maybe I should ask her what she does. So keep up the great work and we'll see you in the next recording.
