Sleep Now - 1.3 - Empowered Adult Tapping

This is a YouTube video titled "Sleep Now - 1.3 - Empowered Adult Tapping" containing a guided tapping meditation session involving two speakers. The dialogue focuses on healing childhood trauma and fostering self-compassion by connecting with one's inner child and empowered adult self. The session encourages listeners to embody confidence and safety to improve sleep and emotional well-being. The content is from June 2015 and is presented as a therapeutic or self-help exercise.
So during that tapping, you might have had a real sense of your inner child and some of the struggles that were an integral part of growing up for you. Those could have stopped shortly after your babyhood, but maybe they continued for a long time, too. We know that we can experience ourselves as, like, feeling like we're five years old again, and that's a part of us. But there's also the part of you that we can speak to and you can tune to as well, that adult, mature, capable person who made it through all of that. And one of the things that we encourage you to incorporate is a recognition that there may be a part of you going to bed that is like a baby feeling very abandoned and alone. But there's also that really resourceful adult, and that's who we want to acknowledge in this tapping. So in this case, I'd like you to allow yourself to posture your body. Position your body as an empowered adult who survived your entire childhood. Feel your butt in the chair, your feet on the floor, and rub your hands together and let them feel like they're adult hands.
Sometimes you can just actually hold them out and look at them as an adult. Like, they're not little kids hands, they're adults hands. I'm a visual person, so that really helps me.

Take a deep breath again. Hold your heart. Realize and feel the adultness of your energy, your muscles, your body, the decades of life that you've seen and that you've not just endured, but you've gotten to a place right now where you're exploring a new way of tuning your energy with confidence and recognition that there may be times when a part of you arises up for soothing and that you have the capacity to do that. You have the capacity to offer loving kindness to that part of you. To me, this is the essence of the flow of a relationship. You can call it self love, but to me, it's like a self dance and connection that allows me when at the end of the day, if there's a part of me that's just quiver lip, I want to go to bed. I know, buddy. Not everything happened today that you wanted. Why don't we read a story? Why don't we connect? And if I come to that part of me that is pouty and upset with that kind of strength, and I know that each of us has that, we've come through a lot, offer that to ourselves, that part of us, and in that, in the moments that follow, when you lay down on your bed, you'll feel that empowered confidence in a different way.
Yeah, that was beautiful.
