pov: You’re Bored of One-Dimensional People.

In this YouTube monologue, Robert Gladitz expresses frustration with the prevalence of one‑dimensional personal branding—entrepreneur, athlete, spiritual seeker, parent, etc.—and advocates for a multidimensional, whole‑person approach. He recounts his own evolution: launching a 7‑figure startup at 23, then moving into spiritual practice, and now integrating athletic training while maintaining his roles as father and entrepreneur. Gladitz argues that embracing contradictory identities enables individuals and humanity to meet the complex challenges of the 21st century. He introduces the Custodian Games, a newly created sport designed to train physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual capacities simultaneously, and frames it as a community hub for like‑minded, multidimensional people. The video also includes a brief health check where a clinician points out elevated homocysteine and low B12/magnesium in Gladitz’s vegan athlete profile, prompting discussion of nutrition and supplementation. Throughout, he reflects on how each identity reinforces the others—athletic discipline supports spiritual calm, fatherhood nurtures patience for entrepreneurship, etc.—and emphasizes the importance of fostering this wholeness in his son Leo and future generations.

I'm bored. I'm bored by all the content on this platform because apparently everybody puts themselves into a box. There is the entrepreneur's box, there is the athlete box, the spiritual box, the parent box, systems thinker box. Don't get me wrong, I love all of them, but I'm tired of one-dimensionality, of people who are building their entire lives their entire careers, their entire brands, their entire value systems inside these narrow boxes. I want all of them at the same time today. This doesn't come from a place of judgment because I've been there. I inhabited all these boxes. When I turned 23, I started my first company, built that for the next 7 months into a 7-figure business, and my life was moving in one direction. It was very, very simple, very straightforward. That's the beauty of those boxes. They give us comfort. They give us direction, they give us clarity. We know what life is about. And the path of the entrepreneur is about building, about creating value more and more and more and more and more and more. And then this journey stopped making sense to me. The box was too small. I broke out, but I put myself into the next box, the box of the spiritual truth seeker. And suddenly I got comfort by something else, by expressing my emotions, by opening my heart. And still it was a box. It was coming with a one-dimensional focus. And recently I've been cultivating my inner athlete, but not from within the box, but while still having all these other parts of myself sitting at the table. And this feels so different. This feels so different. I feel I get to experience the full fullness of life instead of trading one box for the next one, for the next one, like I did in the past. All of the work that I'm doing is built on this fundamental assumption that we can be everything and we should be everything. All the coachings that I give, all the programs that I create, um, the sports that we are building right now, the Custodian Games, like everything is built on this base of multidimensionality. Of wholeness, of complexity. And that's so difficult for us as a species, including me, because these different roles, these different boxes where most people choose just one of them, and I prefer to choose 5 and throw out the box and just keep the ingredients, is because they all contradict each other. The entrepreneur inside myself and the father inside myself, they go in very different directions. The entrepreneur thinks about the big picture and about strategy and about vision and about systems. And the father inside myself is fully focused on the well-being of my son and fully present in the current moment and not thinking about the future. And these are very different skill sets and very different modes of being, I would even say. Same with the athlete inside myself and the spiritual being inside me, which says everything is perfect as it is, just surrender. Whereas the athlete inside myself says no, no, no, don't surrender. Everything is not perfect as it is because your body is not as strong as it should be. So train, focus. And all these parts make up the Robert that I am, as contradictory as they are. And I feel that this is a fundamental invitation for us as a species to be able to hold complexity, to be able to hold these seemingly contradictory states or identities and let them all merge into something that is more than just the sum of its parts. I think I would like to try first— can I try the macadamia, please? And then the hazelnut, please. Is it called gluten-free? Probably not, right? It is? Yeah. Wow. This is so good. But that's our invitation as a species, to be able to hold this complexity, to lean into this multidimensionality of life. Because otherwise we miss, we miss so much of what life can be comprised of. And at the same time, We are fundamentally incapable of responding to the complex and multidimensional challenges that the 21st century brings us. Like, to respond to the meta-crisis that grips our planet very tightly these days, we have to be everything. We have to open the heart, We have to sharpen the mind, we have to strengthen the body, and we have to live in alignment with the oneness and with the infinity of the universe. Wilson Ultra. Wilson Federer. It's a good one. Time to try. Nice. It's so interesting how even though we made so many opposite experiences, somehow we always still assume that progress is a straight line. Last, last week was really, really good. Then I got a new racket and I thought, okay, now we're gonna shoot through the moon, but The opposite is true. It's actually really, really bad. And that's much more how progress looks like. And still, it sucks. But yeah, that's number 1. Being able to play different sports definitely helps. Futsal background today. When nothing works, then running works, but still requires some humility to start something new. Thank you so much, Robert. Thank you, thank you. Yeah, yeah. Clap clap clap! What are you grateful for? I'm grateful for you and for our really nice night of sleep and the beautiful breakfast here. What are you grateful for this morning? I am grateful— for that. We have a nice sleep. Yeah. And, and, and my breakfast. And, and the view. Mm, beautiful. Enjoy your breakfast. And the sun. And the sun too. And the skies. And the skies. Nice. Finished. Wow, wow, are you so hungry this morning? Yummy. You got a really nice breakfast too. Oh, there's a snake, there's a snake! I see it, it's moving, it's even smiling, the snake. Spending time with children is the greatest reminder to cultivate our multidimensionality. Because yeah, Leo is the, is the manifestation of that. In one moment he's fast, another moment he's slow, mostly as fast. In one moment he wants to be like very specific about like learning a thing, then in the next moment he just wants to run around, and then he lets all his emotions like, uh, free freely. And yeah, he doesn't suppress anything because this is how you should be in the world. And of course, the older they get, the more difficult it gets to, to preserve this innate inner little Leonardo da Vinci that just expresses every part of themselves. And it's my, I think, my biggest, biggest task and biggest, biggest duty that I willingly accept as a father, to create circumstances where This multidimensionality that all of us are invited to cultivate is preserved in this, in this little genius.
So today we're gonna go through your blood test results.
Yes.
How are you feeling?
Super good, super good. A lot of energy. I'm training like every day, um, sleep well, all, yeah.
Do you have any limitations or Anything you excluded from your diet, maybe?
Yes, I'm vegan for 16 years.
Overall, your morning blood glucose and other biomarkers that relate to glucose metabolism is optimal. Your lipid profile almost optimal. Homocysteine 44, it should be— the optimal range is generally between 5 to 8.
So it's very high.
Yeah, magnesium, which is also a very important nutrient for more than 300 biochemical reactions in our body, and it needs to be improved.
I actually eat a lot of them, but I have the assumption because like I'm, I'm like training every day, so I'm sweating a lot, we live in Bali, all of that, so probably I need even more magnesium even though I eat a lot of spinach, I eat a lot of pumpkin seeds. You're right. I like all of that.
Maybe supplements in the evening, which might be very helpful for sleep as well and just calm down nervous system and just extra support. Yeah, B12 is low, 230, when optimal range around 550 and above, like above till like 800. So increasing B12 is necessary.
Cool. Thank you, you too. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye. See you. Bye-bye. Hopefully next time with even better result. Let's see. Bye-bye. The type I'm most focused on deepening my embodiment right now is definitely the athlete, but the playing field that I choose, tennis, is so hard. And that's the reason why most people are so fragmented and so one-dimensional, because starting something new where you feel like an absolute beginner is not easy. It's so much easier to stay in your lane, to continue on the trajectory that you're on and to build on the things that feel natural to you. But somehow it's not an option for me. Hi, you're Alphonse? I'm Robert Gladitz. Nice to meet you. We're making progress. The racket is almost as wet as I am. Tennis is good cardio, 30 degrees in Bali, but it's a lot of fun. It's good workout, good workout. Good, good, good. That's fun. Relax. Yeah, relax. Okay. As difficult as it is to bring all the parts of myself together, there's one advantage, and this is that all these different identities, they all enhance each other. They all multiply each other. The more I wake my inner athlete and the intensity that comes with it, The more calm and rested and relaxed I can be, the more spiritually connected, the more deeper I can sink in meditation, the more calm I can be when there's things around me that are on fire. Or the patience that I train when being with my son aids me tremendously in my, uh, my entrepreneurship journey. So all of these feel like clicking into each other and serve my custodianship journey, my journey of becoming a steward, a custodian, a caretaker, a guardian for the more beautiful world. That's the deeper meaning of me learning tennis. Good that we talked about it. massive learning over my, in the meantime, 16 years of personal development journey is we don't rise to the level of our best part, we fall to the level of our least developed part. And yeah, for me, in many situations in my entrepreneurial journey, in my relationship journey, in my spiritual journey, in moments of really intense pressure, high stakes, I tended to sometimes sacrifice my values, my ideals, my standards. And daily strength training is the antidote to that because it gives me the daily training ground to practice that so that I can uphold my integrity and when it really counts in all other domains of life. The big moonshot that I'm working on right now is the Custodian Games, and this is the first sport that actually trains this wholeness, this multifacetedness. Is that even the word? This multidimensionality. Because this is what the current times require of us. And yeah, inventing a new sport and building a company around it is definitely a gargantuan task, but I could not think of anything more meaningful, more close to my heart than this. Maira, my dear, how are you? How's life? How's the family? How are the kids? How's everything going? I'd like to invite you to step into the Custodian Games arena with me. After our really, really, really nice Origin event, I want to start hosting a regular Custodian Games series. We meet in the arena to test our capacity for custodianship on all dimensions, on the physical, on the emotional, on the mental, and on the spiritual. And to have that as a training ground and at the same time as a place for community. An important part of my motivation of building this is definitely to create a space for my tribe together. To gather, to come together, because I'm bored by one-dimensional people, and one-dimensional people are almost everywhere. So we need those gathering points. And there's definitely moments of loneliness where I feel like the alien and and the one who sees things differently and who moves in different directions and who is missing mirrors, mirrors who are living life from a similar place and with a similar intention and with a similar broad focus. I definitely miss that. So Custodian Games will be a place for those people.
