Hey there, welcome! If you are a woman who's just in the coming out process or just starting to consider whether you might be a woman who loves women, or maybe you came out a while ago but you're still kind of trying to find your footing in this new life, I am so glad you're here. My name is Ruth Schwartz. I'm the director of the Conscious Girlfriend Academy, which is the leading global resource helping lesbians, queer women, women who love women, adjacent non-binary people all over the world prevent heartbreak and learn how to date wisely and love well. And as part of our mission, we offer a lot of support to women in the coming out process because so many women contact us daily who are in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, even 80s, who are just starting to realize, oh my God, this is who I am, this is what I want. Is it too late for me? How can I live my way into this whole new identity? So if you can relate to any of that, I am so glad Glad you're here. Many of the women involved in the Conscious Girlfriend Academy share that experience, and we have warm, open-hearted, growth-oriented, compassionate, skill-building classes and groups and deep-dive group coaching sessions and so much else that can support you on your journey. One of the things I'm really the proudest of about the Academy is that we have the whole mix, the whole range of women who have been out for many years or decades interacting with women who are just in the coming-out process. And to me, that's really important because a lot of groups just kind of segregate women that are coming out later in life, which is great. You know, you get to talk to women in more similar situations to yours, but then it's like, but wait a minute, how do I interact with the whole rest of the lesbian world? So in the Academy, you will have an opportunity to form affinity groups, buddy groups, groups, give and get support to women that are in a similar stage of the coming-out journey. But you will also have an opportunity to get to know everybody else. And just like any other community in the world, the lesbian world is very diverse. We are all different. We are not a monolith. And you can really find your footing here, get to know yourself, discover yourself in whole new ways. Many, many women who come to the Academy have made Lifelong friends. Some have met girlfriends, and many have just deepened their relationship with themselves. And, you know, one thing I like to say is this is the 24/7, 365 relationship. You know, this is the person I'm going to be with for the rest of my life on this earth. So in many ways, that is the most important relationship to have a really solid grounding in. But as humans, as social creatures, we also need to know like-minded people. people on similar journeys, and you will have a tremendous opportunity to do that in the Conscious Girlfriend Academy. We have a Coming Out and Coming Home class, which, just as the title suggests, is designed to really help you understand your sexual and romantic identity, understand the lesbian community, some of its lingo, some of its customs, get the, the basics of what you need to know about lesbian dating, which is very, very different than women dating men. Get the basics of what you need to know about lesbian sex, and most of all, as I said, really help you deepen your relationship with yourself. Whatever terminology fits or doesn't fit for you, whatever labels you identify with, you know, one of the great things about life is getting to morph and grow and change and surprise ourselves and be surprised by life, and there's so much room for that here. So again, if you're a woman anywhere in the coming out or questioning process, I'm so glad you found us, and I look forward to seeing you in some of our classes or groups very soon. Lots of love to you.
