In this monologue, the speaker critiques common harmful practices observed in lesbian and queer Facebook groups and online dating spaces. She highlights three main problems: (1) members posting only a photo with minimal personal information, which makes it impossible to assess compatibility or even authenticity; (2) the prevalence of AI‑generated or heavily filtered images that are often posted by bots, scammers, or men posing as women; and (3) people building what they think is a relationship solely through text messaging without ever confirming the other person’s identity via phone or video. She warns that these behaviors lead to pain, deception, and unsafe connections. The speaker then outlines a safer, more intentional approach: start with a video chat to verify identity, then explore deeper questions about each person’s history, goals, and readiness for a relationship. To support this process, she promotes the Conscious Girlfriend Academy, an online global school for lesbians, queer women, and adjacent non‑binary people that teaches the tools and skills needed to create healthy, intentional love relationships.

So I have a little rant about lesbian Facebook groups and what I see women doing on them that creates so much pain, even though of course we're just looking for love and connection. So what I see is that women post pictures like nothing else, just a picture, and they say, hi, I'm so-and-so, I'm so and so years old. Anybody out there? Like, hey, you know, here I am, nothing but a photo, I'm looking for love. Or here I am, nothing but a photo, I'm looking for my soulmate. Uh, or sometimes I even see people say, here I am, I'm looking for like-minded people. And I'm like, who would know if they're like-minded if you haven't You haven't said anything about yourself. And it scares me, honestly. It scares me for everybody, and I'll tell you why. One reason is that sometimes these pictures are of really beautiful, beautiful women, and they look really hot. But in that case, they are probably fakes. And if you look closely, you can see so many filters on the photos. Like, like, in, in many cases they are an AI-generated photo, and this has been posted by a bot or a man or a scammer or all 3. Um, you know, so there's that. But let's say the photo actually is a real person who really is looking for love, who really is looking for her soulmate. Most likely whoever responds is going to just say, hi beautiful, and that person could be a man or a scammer or a bot. And the person who posted the photo, the real person, how are they going to know? Because they didn't even put anything that would allow a real person to strike up an actual conversation. And another mistake that I see people making a All the time is to build a relationship just by messaging back and forth. You know, I, I've seen people who, like, they've been messaging back and forth all day long for several days or even for several weeks. They have never talked to this person even by phone, much less had a video chat, but they feel like they're in a relationship. That is dangerous, dangerous, dangerous. Do not do that. If you have not had a video chat, you have no idea who this person is. You have no idea if it is really a woman, really somebody single, or even a real person at all. Now let's say you take it a little bit further and you, you do Have a video chat, and at least you know this person is a real person, apparently female, apparently single and interested. Okay, that is the beginning of the journey. That is not the end. Then there is a whole lot more that you need to learn, like who is this person? What is her history? What is she looking for? Is it compatible with what you're looking for? Is she ready and able to create what she says she wants? Are you ready and able to create what she you say you want? So we teach about all of this and much more in the Conscious Girlfriend Academy.
