SalesVu Technical Support walks through setting up a cDynamo card reader on an iPad, mounting it to a Vault Enclosures stand with a magnetic plate, and charging it while mounted. The reader acts as a protective case and flips for signature capture.
Okay, in this video I'm going to show you how to install the C Dynamo Magtech reader. So in the box you'll find these two pieces and the power cord. That's all you really need to put together. It's pretty simple. Works for iPad Air Air 2 and there's a mini version as well. So you take the iPad, slide this part on like this part into the lightning port like that and it clips together at the back. So it's a case as well as a card reader. So it's gonna protect the iPad in case you drop it like this. And the next thing I'm gonna show you is how to mount the C Dymo onto the Volt stand. This is the stand. You're gonna be able to flip the iPad back and forth like so. So in a couple things we need this plate and we need hardware screws. So the plate's gonna go on here and that will fasten to the back of the iPad like so. The first thing you wanna do is stick a mounting plate on like this and there's magnets that hold it in place, but you'll want to screw it in as well. So just use these screws. These ones go in here like so. Alright, so now that's fast. You don't have to worry about the screws being flush. There's gonna be a bit of a gap here. Stand is attached, so don't worry about over tightening it. Next thing we're gonna do is take the iPad and the case and fasten it to here. So to do this, you're gonna turn this around. Easiest way is just flip the iPad over set and insert the screws. All right, so now that that's done, it's gonna sit like this. So you can see it's nice and sturdy. Swipe the card, go like that. You can also flip this over if you need to do on screen signature capture. So once you have this installed, you're probably wondering how you actually charge the iPad while it's in here. There's actually a port right there where you can charge it and it comes with a charger. So all you need, plug this in like so, and you'll see we're charging.
