SalesVu Technical Support walks through setting up the Handpoint HiLite EMV chip-card reader with the SalesVu POS system. The demo covers pairing the device via Bluetooth and processing a complete credit card transaction using Evo Payments.
In this video I'm going to show you how to process credit card payments on SalesVU through Evo Payments using the handpoint device. So this is the handpoint highlight device that we have here. First thing we need to do is switch the device on. Just hold the power button. Alright, now that the device is on, need to go to settings on our iPad, turn on Bluetooth, see a list of paired devices and in a moment you should see an additional device appear here. There we go. So this number correspond to the number on the back of the device which you will see here. It's the same excluding the PP at the beginning. So simply click this and there'll be a pop up, say Bluetooth pairing requested. It will also say confirm that this code shows on the device. This code will not show on the device. Just ignore that, just click pair. You should see the device connected. The first thing we need to do is ring up an item and then just click pay and then credit card. If this is the first payment you're processing, salzoo is going to ask you to select the device. You'll see this is the same number that we saw earlier. You'll only have to do this once, so select the device and then you'll see we're being prompted to process the transaction. So what we'll need to do is take our card and on the device it'll say insert chip. Simply insert the card like so. Select credit or debit. We'll see on here the process transaction is processing. We got a notification to remove the card. So do that and sign on the screen, hit accept and you'll see the transaction is approved. At this point, just hit done and move on to your next order.
