SalesVu Technical Support shows how to process returns and exchanges in the POS app. Find original orders by order ID, customer name, email, or card number. Restock items and issue store credit as Loyalty Cash, or handle receiptless refunds by finding the product in POS. Exchanges credit price differences or charge customers for upgrades.
Hi. In this video, I'm going to show you how to exchange items from the sales view point of sale and also how to process a return and give store credit to your customers. You can do this directly from the app as long as you are subscribed to one of our bundles and our loyalty module. When a customer wants to return or exchange an item, you will go to the return exchange portion of the app and locate the original order. You can find this order using the order id, customer name or email, or the last four digits of their credit card. Here you can see the original order. From here you can check off the items that your customer just brought back to your store. Once you verify that they are not damaged, you can also add them back in inventory easily by pressing on the restock button. Next, the refund amount will show and you will enter the customer's name, phone number and email address so they can receive the store credit as Loyalty Cash. The customer will then receive an email with the refunded amount and confirmation. Next time they come to your store to purchase something else, they will simply have to give you their phone number in order to use the store credit Loyalty Cash to pay for their next purchase. If you want to return an item without the original order or receipt, you can process a receiptless refund. To do that, simply find the product you're returning on the point of sale, such as this one, and touch on return to issue store credit as Loyalty Cash to the customer just like we did earlier. Now let me show you how to exchange an item for a different one. Again, you'll have to find the original order here, then check off the item to be returned and select the item that the customer wants instead. If the new item is less expensive than the original one, the difference will be credited to the customer as store credit, just like we did before. If the new item is more expensive, the customer will have to pay the difference. Hope this video helped. If you have any questions, please let us know.
