How to add tips after payment with SalesVu's iPad POS and Square reader. Find orders in Manage Credit Card Batch, use Adjust and Capture to add the tip amount, then configure your settings so customers can tip after the card swipe.
Hi. Today we're going to show you how to configure and process tip adjustments with Square and SalesView. The SalesVU iPad POS version 6.5 now allows restaurant owners who use the Square credit card reader to easily adjust tips. At the end of each shift, after a transaction has been completed, the customer can physically write a tip on the merchant copy of the receipt. Here you can see the order ID and the tip amount. To adjust the tip, touch on the settings icon. Manage Credit Card Batch, locate the order ID in this case order ID 17, then touch on Adjust. From here you can add the tip. So we'll go ahead and put in 25 cents and then you want to capture the tip. Once the transaction has been captured, it will no longer appear under the Manage Credit Card Batch screen. So we'll go ahead and adjust the tip for order number 18, add in to 50 cents and capture. In order to configure post tip adjustments with Square payments, you'll need to sign into the Sales Room management portal. So click on Settings, click on the drop down and then tips. Change the tip setting to after the card swipe, dip or tap and then save. The last configuration will be directly from your iPad. You'll want to make sure that the Square app is downloaded and logged into your account, so we'll go ahead and touch on the Square Point of Sale app. Once open, touch on the bottom left corner and go to Settings. Go down to Printers if you don't have a printer set up, go ahead and create the printer station here. You can see we already have a printer configured as a receipt Now. Next you want to go to Signature and Receipt and make sure that the option Customer signs on printed receipt is turned on. Thanks for watching. Please let us know if you have any questions.
