SalesVu Technical Support walks through setting up a Star Micronics mPOP printer and cash drawer with the SalesVu app. The demo covers loading paper, connecting via Bluetooth, and testing both the printer and drawer.
In this video, I'm going to show you how to set up the star Micronics M Pop cash drawer printer combo with SalesVu. So here we have the M Pop. The two things we need from the box are the power cable and the printer paper, which we'll put in first. So to put in the printer paper, simply push this and then pull it open. And then you'll pull on this blue tab. It's very simple. Just put the paper in like this, feed it through and press it closed, feed that through and press it closed, and then close that and we're good to go. Next thing we need to do is plug in the power cable. So we'll turn this around, flip it upside down and underneath here we'll plug that. Next thing we'll do is flip the switch on which is on the left hand side and it powers up. And this is a Bluetooth device. So we need to go into settings on your iPad, turn on your Bluetooth and it's going to search for available devices. We'll go to mpop and it should connect automatically. As you can see, it's connected. Then we'll go into Sales view and we'll go to the settings button which looks like a gear. Then go to printer options. Touch search for printers and we have our printer. We'll touch test print and you can see kicks out a SalesView test print. And this is also a cash drawer. So we can open the cash drawer by touching that button. And you have your bills and coins here. It'll also automatically open anytime you run a cash sale.
