This is part 2 of your COVID survival guide. Those who don't know me, my name is Salila Sukumaran. I'm an Ayurveda practitioner in California. My expertise is prevention and helping you get back to optimal health through Rasayana after you're out of the woods. When fever strikes, allow the body to work through the fever. Fever is a healing response to kill the virus. When the fever reaches 103 degrees, then start to use cold compress and trying to bring it down. Eat only after the fever breaks. Start with 3 meal times of rice broth followed with light, kanji. It is critical to follow samsarjanakrama. Look this concept up to understand why. Talk upon mushta, bhumi amalaki, and boonimba. Make a tea of this. These are powerful metabolizers of ama and helps the body fight the infection. When the virus breaks through the body's defense systems and creates more ama or endogenous toxins in the body, these herbs with krimigna properties will cut through the virus. Talk upon vilvadi gulika. It is an excellent preventative. Take one before meals every day in the morning and in the evening. Crush and have it with a teaspoon of honey for increased potency. Don't discount the power of meditation, yoga, pranayama, and chanting mantras like Om and the Gayatri.
