In this video, the speaker warns that many modern skincare products contain hidden chemical toxinsâparabens, phthalates, PEGs, formaldehyde releasersâthat can be absorbed through the skin, enter the bloodstream within seconds, and accumulate as a slowâacting poison (kharavisha) in the body. The speaker lists physical and systemic redâflag symptoms (headaches, itching, pigmentation, sleep disturbances, hormonal irregularities) that may signal such toxicity. Drawing on Ayurvedic principles, the talk explains that skin reflects internal health, governed by oneâs dominant dosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha). Ayurvedic skincare therefore starts with dosha identification, internal balance (diet, digestion, sleep), and uses edible, natural ingredients for cleansing, masking, toning, and nighttime ritualsâoil cleansing with sesame, coconut, or turmeric; natural powders and flours for masks; rose water, apple cider vinegar, cucumber juice for toners; almond, sesame, and Kukumadi oils for night. The speaker claims these practices restore the skin barrier, reduce inflammation, save money, and produce a radiant, healthâbased glow, contrasting with expensive, chemicalâladen Western routines. The video ends with a call to read labels, avoid unpronounceable ingredients, and prioritize internal health for true beauty, urging viewers to share, like, and subscribe.

Is your skin looking dead? This is dramatic and may surprise you, but could it be that your expensive skincare is actually harming your skin? I know this sounds a little out there, but all the products that are sold in beautiful packaging, backed by celebrity endorsements, and labeled as dermatologist-approved may not be all that it's made out for. But here's what Ayurveda teachesâ it teaches us to look beneath the surface. What's inside many of these creams and serums? Most probably nasty chemicals that your skin, your largest organ, absorbs every single day. Let's explore what modern skincare isn't telling you and how Ayurvedic skincare brings out not just the glow but health balance and peace. Let's hear the truth about modern skincare. Here's something very important: your skin isn't just a protective layer. It breathes, it absorbs, it's an organ. According to Ayurveda, the skin is a mirror of your inner health. It reflects your digestion, your emotions, your sleep, and the state of your hormonal balance. Modern science agrees. Studies show that ingredients applied to the skin can enter your bloodstream in under 26 seconds, bypassing the liver, the gatekeeper of the body. Now imagine putting on 8 to 9 chemical-based products every dayâ creams, cleansers, makeup, serums, sun protection factorâ each of these sometimes carrying fragrances, preservatives, and ingredients you cannot even pronounce. This is not skincare, it's skin scare. Let's talk about some of the common hidden toxins and some signs of harm so you get educated. Now you walk into any mall and you'll find under premium skincare creams selling for a hefty price tag. They promise fairness, anti-aging, hydration, and instant glow. But have you read the label? And what's inside them. Many of these products contain things like parabens. These are used to keep creams from going bad. They are preservatives, and they can mess with your hormones and may lead to problems like mood swings or irregular cycle. Phthalates, which are found in products with artificial fragrance, they are linked to fertility issues and hormone disruption, and they can often hide under the word fragrance on the label. PEG compoundsâ these help creams absorb into the skin better, but they can damage your skin's natural barrier, making it dry and sensitive. Formaldehyde releaserâ some products slowly release formaldehyde to stop bacterial growth, but formaldehyde is a known toxin, a carcinogen, that can irritate your skin, eyes, and even affect your lung health. Causing breathing difficulties and making asthma symptoms worse. Now, none of these will cause instant problems, but over time your body starts to store these toxins in your fat tissue. This is called as kharavisha in Ayurveda. It's a type of slow poison that builds up over time till it reaches a tipping point of no return. And some of us experience this sudden chronic health issues out of the blue. So how do you know if your skincare is affecting your health? Here are some red flags to watch out for. 1. You start to feel tired or get headaches after using certain products like synthetic perfumes. 2. The skin shows burns or itches after applying creams. 3. You develop pigmentation or tiny bumps. 4. Your sleep is poor or your periods start to get off. 5. Your skin starts to look dull despite trying exfoliating and nourishing masks and healing skincare products. These may all be signs that your body is overreacting to some chemicals in your daily regimen and it's not healing. And here's the irony: many people buy expensive skincare to look healthy while actually harming their real health. Ayurveda has a different approach. Now let's talk about the view of Ayurveda about our skincare. In Ayurveda, we say, if you can eat it, put it on your skin. Beauty is not applied from the outside, it's built from the inside through edible skincare. Your skin is basically governed by your predominant dosha. So Vata skin is dry and will get easily dehydrated. Pitta skin is sensitive and prone to redness and acne. Kapha skin can be thick, oily, prone to congestion and large pores. So the first step in Ayurveda is not which cream to buy, but it's to understand your dominant dosha in your skin and balancing that dosha. We focus on eating according to your dosha. We focus on good digestion, clean breath, raftha shuddhi. We calm your mind. Your sattvic intelligence is enhanced because undigested food is what becomes toxins called as ama, which often shows up in the skin as lumps, bumps, and patches. According to Ayurveda, glowing skin comes from balance inside out, not just outside externally applied creams. If your liver is sluggish or your digestion is poor, no cream in this world will fix your skin long term. But Ayurveda doesn't stop there. It also offers powerful external routines using ingredients you can literally eat. Let me show you. Now let's talk about the Ayurvedic skincare routine. This is my favorite part. Here's what I do and what I teach my clients worldwide to do. We start with oil cleansing. We take warm sesame oil if your skin is dry. We use coconut milk for sensitive or redness-prone Pitta skin, and fresh turmeric paste mixed with a little bit of bean flour, mung bean flour, for Kapha congested skin. Massage it in upward circular motions. This will dissolve dirt without stripping your skin of its oils, and then wash it with lukewarm water or a damp cloth. That's it. It's ancient, it's gentle, it works like magic. Use natural cleansers like chickpea flour or sandalwood powder mixed with rose water or milk. It gently exfoliates without drying your skin like foaming face washes. Make your own face mask. Mix sandalwood powder with rose water for Pitta skin, which is sensitive and acne-prone. Use Multani Mitti or Fuller's Earth with honey for Kapha skin, which is dull and oily, and use sesame seed paste with milk cream for Vata skin, which can be dry and rough. Apply once or twice a week, and I promise your skin will glow without any side effects. Here are some toners from your kitchen. Use pure rose water, apple cider vinegar, potato juice, cucumber juice, etc., to tone and calm your skin. Let's talk about nighttime rituals. Before bedtime, massage a couple of drops of almond oil to your face and eyes and sesame oil to your feet. This calms the nervous system and supports overnight repair, which is when true skin healing happens. Kukumadi oil is another nighttime facial oil which is made from total herbal recipe with saffron that has been used for millennia for beauty and for healing. Now let's talk about real results, which happens when you follow these rituals. Your skin starts to heal not just through the outside but also takes care of your symptoms from the root. Your barrier becomes stronger and resilient. Inflammation calms including acne and sensitivity. And you save money because you're not constantly switching expensive products. Most importantly, your skin begins to radiate from the inside out. Across the world, more and more women, including Hollywood celebrities, are moving towards a natural skincare regimen. Why? Because they have realized that glowing skin doesn't come from bottles, it comes from balance. Even in India, elite wellness resorts in Kerala or Rishikesh now offer skin therapies using herbs like manjistha, neem, aloe vera, lodhra, not chemical peels. Because beauty is not just glow, it's health, friends. Ayurveda teaches us True beauty is a reflection of our inner health. If your skincare smells like perfume, burns your skin, or costs a fortune, it's not the answer. You don't need to do 10-step routines. You don't need to do over and about. Just do a routine that your body loves. So before you buy an expensive cream next time, pause, read the label, Look for unpronounceable ingredients and ask yourself, is this helping me or is this harming me? Because the most luxurious skincare doesn't come in a jar, it comes from a healthy metabolism. And if you want radiant, truly radiant skin, start from the inside. Clean up your digestion, sleep deeply, use ingredients your grandmother would approve of.
