This Tea Can Boost Hair Growth… But Only If You Use It Right

Salima Sukumaran, an Ayurveda practitioner, explains how to use aparajita for hair growth. Most products use only flowers, but the roots, bark, and seed pods are more potent. Start with one cup in the morning or evening, monitor your body for a week, and pair it with sleep, meditation, and good digestion.

That beautiful blue flower you see everywhere on social media, the one everyone is calling a miracle herb for hair growth and for memory, it's called aparajita. And I used to watch it grow outside my bedroom window in my parents' home growing up, but I never paid attention to it till I began to see it here in America being sold as an expensive tea and tincture. But before you rush to buy aparajita, here are 3 critical things I want you to absolutely know. Hi, I'm Salila Sukumaran. I'm a generational Ayurveda practitioner based in sunny California, helping you activate your inbuilt AI, your Ayurvedic intelligence. And today we are talking about the truth behind aparajita, the miracle flower. Yes, aparajita, also known as butterfly blue pea flower or Shankha Pushpi, is powerful. Ancient Ayurvedic texts praise it for enhancing memory, reducing anxiety, and promoting lustrous hair. The name itself means that which cannot be defeated. And if you use it correctly, no power on earth will be able to break your mind, body, and spirit. But here is what most people are not telling you. First, you might be paying a lot for the least useful part. I'm sorry. See, there are multiple species of blue flowers sold under this name. True aparajita, Clitoria ternatea, has specific therapeutic properties. So check the botanical name on the package first. Also, this is big. Based on Ayurveda, it's not the flowers that have the most medicinal properties. The most potent medicine is in the very unsexy roots, bark, and seed pods. Secondly, timing and dosage matters tremendously. I see people drinking aparajita tea all throughout the day thinking more is better. So wrong. In Ayurveda, excess of anything creates imbalance. For most adults, 1 cup of aparajita tea in the morning or in the evening is sufficient. Go slow, see how your body reacts. Third, aparajita works best when combined with the right lifestyle. Taking it while you're eating processed food, staying up late, not managing your chronic stress will give you zero results. Ayurveda teaches us that herbs are catalysts, not magic pills. Aparajita enhances memory when paired with adequate sleep, regular meditation, pranayama, yoga, and a balanced diet. It promotes hair growth when your digestion is also strong and your body is properly nourished. Here is what you should do if you want to use aparajita. Start slowly. Have 1 cup of organic aparajita tea in the morning with breakfast. Observe how your body responds for at least 1 week. Notice your energy levels, your digestion, and your sleep quality. If you experience any discomfort, stop immediately and consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner. Herbs are incredibly powerful, but they work best when used correctly and under guidance from a practitioner. Remember, true healing is not about following trends, it's about understanding your body's unique wisdom. So stay rooted, stay radiant, and hit that subscribe button for more ways to activate your inbuilt AI, your Ayurvedic intelligence. I'll see you next week.
