Unbelievable Transformation đź: See What Happened to Jyl During Her Panchakarma Travel Experience!

In this interview, host Salila Sukumaran and coâhost Speaker B sit down with Jill Porch, a 67âyearâold model, popâstar and longtime client, to discuss her multiple Panchakarma retreats in India. Jill explains that she sought Panchakarma as a proactive, âsmartâ way to age, hoping to improve hormone balance, joint flexibility, weight, skin, and overall vitality. Salila coordinated every logistical detailâflights, airport pickups, driver, accommodation, and connections to two distinct Ayurvedic clinicsâso Jill could focus on the treatment. Jill describes the intensive detox protocols, physicianâguided procedures, and the emotional intensity of the retreats, noting physical benefits (clearer skin, weight loss, joint relief) and a profound mental shift that left her feeling âlike a million dollarsâ and more connected to her body. She recounts a challenging moment during a gentler second retreat, where Salilaâs support helped her navigate negative emotions and cultural stress. The conversation also highlights the community aspect: friendships formed with other participants, especially an Indian woman trying to conceive, whose visible transformation reinforced the programâs impact. Salila added cultural extrasâguided tours, nature trips, backâwater boat rides, and shoppingâenhancing Jillâs overall experience. Throughout, Jill praises Salilaâs personal guidance, emphasizing that the combination of expert physicians, luxurious yet authentic settings, and a trusted guide makes the Panchakarma journey priceless and lifeâchanging. The interview ends with an invitation for viewers to consider booking their own Panchakarma adventure through Salilaâs services.

Welcome everybody.
Today we have the gorgeous Jill Porch with us. Jill is a model, a pop star, a showgirl. She's traveled the world, and I have had the pleasure of knowing Jill from nearly 5 years now. Jill is one of my best clients who has gone to India for panchakarma several times, so I'm excited to check in with Jill again and kind of go over down the memory lane of how the experience was for Jill. Jill, welcome, and tell us how your Panchakarma experience was transformative for you.
Well, I justâ it made sense to me in aging to try to age as, um, smart as possible. And so I was very attracted to Panchakarma right off because I knew it had to do with lettingâ allowing the body to function as high as it can be. So that means nutrients going in are the correct ones, things going out, and quickly and fast. And in the Western world, we're under so much stress, and the foods we eat, and our lifestyle, and aging. I'm 67, so I wanted to be as smart as I can to live like the highest amount of life I can for as long as I can. And panchakarma to me meant investing in myself and my body and my aging and balancing my hormones, my moods. And all of this was included in my experiences I had in India with very serious, kind, smart people who helped me with this aging process.
Gorgeous. You look absolutely stunning, and I have known you for 5 years, and you are a role model for so many people. Your graciousness, your kindness, your politeness, the way in which you, uh, you carried yourself when you were in India. People still remember you, and People still talk about you and want you to come back. So what happened during Panchakarma? You, you went from in here, America, a typical busy American professional, and then you went to India, landed at the Panchakarma retreat. What happened? Take us through your journey of those 21-28 days.
Well, I wasâ I traveled alone and I went alone. I'd never been to India before, so your guidance was necessary for me to take that leap into the unknown of a totally new experience, new world. I knew right off that I was in good hands and that I was investing in myself. It was important for me to, again, to come back to myself and invest in the best life I could have. So you provided me an experience that was not only magical and wonderful and fun and also serious and reflective, but I also felt I was introduced and handled in every way so I didn't have to worry about anything, from being picked up to the airport to going to Panchakarma. When I had issues or questions along the way, you were very available, although I didn't really need it. But you were alwaysâ you provided the most magical experience so that I could truly go to India, right? And you, you not only did you provide the safety net and the information so that I could do it and meet wonderful, wonderful people there, mostly Europeans, which was fun. But I was treatedâ you know, you can't even pay for this treatment you get. You can't pay for it.
Priceless.
Because peopleâ you have theseâ the experience isâ you just couldn't pay for it in America. Even though you feel like you're in a luxury fine hotel, you're also doing some very seriously health experiences that are transformative. And yeah, you come back, your skin is better, you're more balanced, your cravings are different, your weight has changed. So it, it, it takesâ it gives you an opportunity to reset.
Absolutely, absolutely. Um, would you be open to sharing some of the health challenges that you were facing before and how Panchakarma healed you?
Yeah, I didn't have anything specific except for I knew I wanted to age better, and I knew I wanted my joints to be loose. I knew I wanted to lose weight. I knew I had a heavy feeling, like feelings, emotions that were related to aging. And through the experiences of changing this, doing the detox, changing the diet, under the care of physicianâ physicians who, they analyze where you are You'reâ it'sâ you go through these, not procedures, but you go through these experiences in detoxing, right? And you come out of these experiences and you feel like a million dollars. You look like a million dollars. Your skin is good. Your joints feel good. You feel like Superwoman. You're happy. Yeah, it's, it's very powerful. You got to go through the experience to get to the other side. And sometimes when you're doing panchakarma, honestly, you just sit on your porch watching peacocks walk by, you know, because you're detoxing. You'reâ
you haveâ
you lose your energy and you're veryâ your body's working so hard. But when it's over with, every single one of these experiences, you just get higher and clearer and you come back a different person, truly, because your health is more aligned with who you are by these, um, procedures that you do.
Yeah, mind, body, soul transformation. And almost all of my women clients come back and tell me they love their bodies now that they've done the Panchakarma. They are back in love with themselves, with how they look in the mirror.
Was that your experience as well?
Amazing. It's amazing to kind of struggle a little bit with some of the procedures just because your body is working so hard. And then again, when you come out, you justâ your whole face changes. I don't know exactly what it is, how toxins can be so inhibiting in a way, but I do know afterwards you are alive and happy and vibrant. It could be even treated as a beauty treatment because you just change afterwards, but it's a treatment from the inside out.
Yeah, yeah. Some of my clients who might be looking at our interview right now, who might be considering should they go to India for Panchakarma, should they book through Salila Sukumaran, 'How will booking through Salila Sukumaran help me?' What would you say to them?
Well, I relied on you for everything from my plane ticket to figuring out who to talk to. You organized drivers for me. Like I say, I was held in the highest, um, experience knowing that I was safe. And, um, you'reâ what you offered and your communication to the doctors, and that I went to two different clinics So each one very different, and yet you were able, without costing me any more money than the other people, but because of your relationships, I was able to have really beautiful rooms, special treatments. I felt that, um, you know, India people are so kind, and all they want to do is, is make sure that you're comfortable and happy and And it's also quiteâ you don't need people to reflect upon you, but you know that they have your best interests at heart. And because of your connections and relationships with people there, it was even an even higher experience than I would have probably gotten otherwise. I got good rooms, beautiful accommodations. I was, um, I got wonderful treatments. Sometimes, you know, I got more treatments than some of the other people. And I have nothing, nothing but good things to say about kind of like just going into the unknown. And if somebody is taking care of you, justâ there's justâ why hold yourself back? Right.
Right. Right, yeah. It's almost like you're walking into a dark room and you just need a friend you know is there to kind of guide you. Um, there was this instance when you went to the second Panchakarma Center when you wanted to pack your bags and come back. Uh, would you be okay sharing about that instance and how I supported you through that? And yeah, you have beenâ
had you been by yourself Well, there's, there's nothing like having a best friend in your pocket or in your suitcase or holding your hand when you really need them.
And it is an experience that at times is, uh, can be, uh, overwhelming.
Or I was listening to people who were being negative too much, probably, and so I, I called you up.
Because I was upset. And I, yeah, I kind of made a scene, which I felt bad about. But it came out natural, so I couldn't stop it, because I wanted to straighten out this feeling.
And you were there to completely hear me. I felt heard.
I felt respected. I felt understood in a foreign country.
Everything's different.
And I knew that I, I was comparing too much from the old to the new.
So I was holding on a little bit too tight and people wereâ
I was listening, I wasn't listening to myself. And so you just guided me through it and I just went through it. And it's because of our relationship and because I knew and I know that my best interest is the most important thing in how you, you booked my experience.
Absolutely, absolutely. To those who may be watching this video, um, Jill was in two different times of her life. Her goals were different and therefore We had together chosen one retreat for the first trip, which was an extremely intense panchakarma, and the second trip was a more gentle panchakarma under a lady physician who was highly qualified. And Jill felt like this was possibly not what she was hoping for, and then she was listening to all these negative people at the retreat who were having an emotional response, which is, which sometimes can happen during these intense treatments. But at the end of it, Jill had an amazing time both times, and she is a living example of what panchakarma and being conscious and intentional about diet and lifestyle, lifestyle can do for you. Jill is absolutely a role model in so many ways.
And in a way, you find magic, you know, once you just open yourself up and let go. Because everybody's intentions was only to have this wonderful, beautiful experience, but it's a serious experience. I mean, it's notâ it's a commitment. Yes. And that, um, what I appreciate and honor about the doctors and the physicians and all the people who worked on me because I know how trained they are. It's not just a light experience, right? It's a very, uh, transformative experience, and that's part of body. And so it does get emotional sometimes because not only are you letting go of physical things, you're also letting go of mental chatter or, or changes that you want to make. I mean, it's really, really amazing, and I don't think you can get it anywhere else but in India.
Absolutely, absolutely. I tell people there's not a million dollars in the world you can pay for this experience when you're doing it under the right physician at the right time with the right mindset and with a friend by your side. Is there anything else you would like to sum up your experience with, Jill?
I just feel like life is too short to not try to I mean, what it does is it expands the quality of our life. And life is too short to notâ you find the right people, but you also go for it. Like, go for it. And I knew that I wanted to invest in myself, and I knew that it was important to me, and I also knew that that's how I wanted to live my life the best I could. And these types of experiences that I had in India, I will never forget. And it's in my body because change afterwards, you change yourâ even though, you know, you go back to bad habits, but you, you stillâ there is an awareness that you never had before. And there's a community of people who are very highly, highly trained that It's kind of like they go to the source to heal instead of justâ it's going to the source and healing the source, and I like that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um, were there some other people at the retreat where you noticed that you noticed them healing of things that surprised you?
Yeah, there was another Indian girl who had come from the Middle East, and she was trying pregnant, and she was scared, and she'd never been outside of her country, and she'd never been without her, uh, husband or family, parents, which just blew my mind.
Becauseâ
but we, we became friends even though she stayed in her little room. She wouldn't even come to eat in the main room. Her cabin was down from me, and she was desperately trying to get pregnant, and in this environment that was hard for her because she was so shy. And we became really good friends, and her face started changing. And I wouldâ it was amazing how just her skin was changing and her attitude was changing. And I would tease her and I'd say, wait till your husband sees you, you're gonna get pregnant, because her whole body was changing.
She was weight.
Sheâ her skin was blotchy. Yeah, she was afraid. She was highly afraid. I felt like her hair looked better. She had this beautiful hair, you know. She just became moreâ
there'sâ
you become more relaxed and you become more alive. And then all the people's faces open up. It's really amazing. They justâ itâ the people just open up.
Yeah, I feel like they turn intoâ
they go back a little bit into their childhood innocence. The face becomes soft. All the emotions we were holding, the cellular memory kind of drops off through the treatments, and then we are back to our original innocent template of curiosity and enthusiasm for life.
It's amazing. And to be just the massages that you get, you know, which are part of the detox program. I mean, do we ever get touched like that? Well, professionally touched with this oil, this special oil. And I mean, it's, it's, it'sâ I've never had anything like it. I feel like it's so healing and we need it so much. I mean, truly, how can weâ to connect with people, we, we have to connect to ourselves first. And this helps you, you just get into yourself and into your body, and at the whole time all these layers and layers and layers appear to be, you know, changing. And sometimes you feel like the universe, and your whole body sparkles, and you feel like every little cell is alive. And one time I got up out of bed to look at myself because I thought, what is going on? Why do I feel like stars?
Oh my God, remember that?
And I had to get up to look at myself, but it's all inside, you know, and your insides are working really hard to get rid of these things so that you canâ so your system is more able to be healthy so you don't get ill, or if ill, to help heal.
Yeah, yeah. Absolutely. Um, I remember that you had some profound meditations when you were going through the Panchakarma. You had some profound insights. And how has life changed for you before Panchakarma to after having done a couple of Panchakarmas?
Well, Indian changesâ in India changes anybody in a way, just such a It's such a good experience, and it made me feel so grateful. And also the kindness of people. So it's not about possessions and stuff. It's more like it changed me because I was able to make really good friends there. I was able to connect. I was with people from all over the world. And my body was, uh, you know, you come out of there and you're just, you feel like, yay, you know, you just feel just so lively and sexy and young and fun. And yeah, it's amazing, it's amazing. But you have to go to the work to get to the others, right?
And after your panchakarma, I remember we also arranged a couple of sightseeing trips for you. So if you could wrap up this conversation and tell us a little bit about the extras that you received.
Yeah, because I wanted to see India. So I added on, I wanted to see nature. I was interested in nature. I was interested in animals. And you hooked me up with my driver who I loved. I wouldâ and he was so intelligent. And he works for documentary film, French documentary. So his English is very good. He speaks French also. And so I wasâ I, Iâ he drove me around to these different areas. And it was monsoon season. So the road would be flooded and be like, oh, but I had this really capable guy next to me. And it became an adventure. So I got to see howâ I got to go shopping. And that was so much fun eating all this fruit. I got to Iâ this woman was making flowers, and I didn't realize it was for wedding, you know, when they do those flowers. And I want to have some flowers too, you know. Everybody's so delightful. And I thought there would beâ honestly, I was worried about the poverty or the, um, like hurt animals or hurt people. And so that was one of the fears that I had before I went.
Yeah.
And there's all these beautiful children in their little uniforms. And I got to go to the backwaters. And I got to see how, you know, after the panchakarma, you took me to this beautiful place where I could rest and have fresh fish. And the, the, I guess you call the neighbor, the man next door, a very simple life, you know, is would bring fish, and it was justâ I saw a little of everything. You see culture, you see people, and mostly I found that, that, uh, it wasn't scary. Yeah, it wasn't scary. It was beautiful, and people were kind, and I didn't see that abrasive rough. People have been living together for 5,000 years, you know, all these different types of people. And it's an ancient, beautiful place. Palaces. I went off the land, you know, to Mr. Philip's house. I went to look for tigers and took boat rides. And yeah, you arranged it all, even shopping, because I wanted to go shopping, you know. You told me where.
And so, you are no ki.
Much value it added, having you as my guide. Because we became friends because of this.
Yes.
I mean, I always liked you, but Iâ
we became friends because of the experiences you offered me.
And, and I got to see India, I got to eat Indian food, I got to be with people who took care of me. I knew I was safe. And, um, Of course, who wouldn't want to go back?
Yeah, yeah. Well, it's been such an honor to guide you through your journeys, your explorations, and thank you so much for having this chat with me. I look forward to helping anybody who may be inspired by this conversation and reach out to me.
Don't be shy.
I would love for you to also be part of this little family that we have of Panchakarma warriors, brave men and women who go beyond and transform their lives. Thank you so much, Jill. Have a wonderful night.
Thank you.
