In this conversational segment, the organizer (Speaker A) explains how they invited 15 digital nomads from around the world to live together in Lisbon under the Haus Manifest project. The aim is not merely to provide a space but to spark a movement that makes it easy for people to build community, create lifelong memories, and foster deep, meaningful connections. Speaker B reflects on the unique, unexpected delight of post‑college communal living, describing how the uncertainty of what comes next can be rewarding. Speaker A likens the experience to a child’s playground—free, judgment‑free, and awe‑inspiring—emphasizing that Haus Manifest evolved from a side project (lisboncoliving.co) into a purpose‑driven community where members help each other manifest their biggest dreams. The narrative highlights the growth of participants during Season 1, culminating in late‑night gatherings that cemented bonds and created lasting memories.

I invited 15 people from all corners of the world to come to live with me here in Lisbon. The reason why we're doing all of this is because we're creating a movement, actually. You know, this is not just like a— we're not just here to provide a space, you know, like we're not in this hospitality or real estate business. Just like what I've always wanted to do is to just make it easy for people to build community together, build these lifelong memories through facilitating these deep meaningful connections.
I think it's, you know, after you leave college or if you do some kind of master's program, it's kind of like the last time you're in an environment where you're kind of forced to be around people that are different than you. This surprising delight, I think that's what I get. It's like you don't really know what's gonna come next and the unexpected it is always like somehow delightful too. Like not knowing what's coming is like delightful, and then also just like what happens ends up being like something really cool that you couldn't have like planned for.
Haus Manifest was almost like a dream. You know when you're a kid, you're playing in the playground, just taking in like whatever is around you. You don't really have any expectations and any judgment. Just like things come to you. And I think I really experienced that. I feel like a 6-year-old kid just roaming around freely, and then you're just like so in awe of what's happening in front of you. And like, just, you're like, wow, like, is this, is this real? Before, we didn't even have a name for this because it was like a side project, like lisboncoliving.co. That was it. But After having a series of these moments, I realized what does a community stand for? Why are we here? We're here to accomplish the craziest dreams of ourselves that we've always had, but also we're here to help each other out. We're here to manifest each other's dreams. So House Manifest, how everything came to be, like, like everything got accelerated, you know? And I'm just here just talking about my personal story, like what happened happened to me in my life, but when I look at each House Manifest member and how they grew and like when they came in sort of like, like not really knowing what to expect and then like by the end of Season 1 everyone just like really coming together and like staying, staying up until 4 or 5 AM for everyone that's leaving just to like make sure that we're holding on to those memories together. To me, that's like, like really beautiful. Yeah. Damn. Yeah, it's crazy.
