But now this week's question is, how do I get unstuck? So if you've ever been in a situation where you know what you needed to do but you weren't following through with it, or you just feel like things are comfortable and the same and you can't figure out how to break through, bust through that plateau in your career, in relationships, with your health, you know, this is the question for you. And I just wanted to remind you that before we start, please do the social media thing and share, like, subscribe, you know, all that. And if you have a question, you can always direct message me wherever you're watching this video, you know, whatever platform, or leave a comment or go to SeanButter.com ask to submit your questions so that you can get a different perspective on it. You know, hey, Dave, what's going on, man? Good to see you, brother. So why do we get stuck? I guess that's the first question, or why do I get stuck? If, in my experience, coaching people through this, it's either you're stuck because you don't know what to do next, right? So you're trying. You, like, you have an idea of what you want, but you don't have the, like, very clear, concrete next steps. So a lot of folks, you know, struggle there, you spend a lot of energy there. Then distraction wins and you don't follow through. The second big thing that I've seen, I've had clients that are like, hey, I want to get into a new, like, workout routine, but I'm just completely exhausted at the end of the day when it's, you know, I don't have the energy for it. And so it's an energy management thing. It's also knowing that, you know, okay, you need to do the workout when you're most energetic. So it's, you know, the theme here is, is there's usually something else that is preventing you from. From getting unstuck that's preventing you from forward progress. And so the belief you have to have is that you can change your thing. You can't. You can figure out the next steps. You can manage your energy better so that you can, you know, follow through with the workout. Sometimes we're afraid to take the next steps. So, you know, it could be scary. It could be a big jump for us. And we don't want to fail. We don't want our family and friends to, you know, think that we failed and be embarrassed by that. So, you know, how do you deal with fear? How do you take bold action towards your progress? You know, that's something we talk about a lot on, you know, this weekly show. And, you know, also, like, sometimes we're stuck because we're not focused on the things that are actually going to move us forward. You know, so at work, you will. You get a ton of things done, you help a ton of other people. You're collaborative, you never have time to work on your projects. Your projects don't get advanced, you don't get promoted, you don't get the value out there in the marketplace. So there are instances like that. And so having that time again to get clear on what is. So I can do a lot of things. What things can I do that are going to push me forward, to advance my career? Or what things can I do to deepen relationships? You know, is it, you know, date night or is it, you know, doing something nice for your spouse or for your family? You know, those types of questions. And finally, like, sometimes we're stuck. Cause we don't have the network and we don't have the support to help push us forward. So if you've ever struggled with, you know, people cheering you on, like, you feel like you don't have that. That support group where if you get stuck, you can talk things through, or if you get stuck, you have somebody else that knows, somebody that has gone through the exact thing that you're trying to accomplish. So you can then pick their brain, get a couple of tips, tricks, and know, maybe like, this is a natural part of, you know, there's this stuck phase and you're really close to breaking through, you know, so engaging your social relationships in order to positively get momentum. So, you know, these are a couple of different perspectives on how to get unstuck. You know, are you clear on what the next steps are? Can you manage your energy in a way that, you know, you can show up when you need to and be, you know, follow through with motivation and not be so exhausted? Are you boldly taking chances even when you're a little bit scared or a little bit afraid that it might not work out because, you know, embarrassment and that kind of stuff? Are you acting in spite of those feelings? Are you focused on the right things that are moving you forward? And then can you build positive relationships to support you. It's pretty simple stuff we talk about all the time in certified high performance coaching. But you know, asking yourselves these questions, identifying like, where am I stuck in each of these? Is it one, is it more? That's usually one of those five levers is what's going to wedge the rock loose enough for it to move. So I hope that helps you think through what might be going on if you are stuck also. And if not, it's really good to keep in your back pocket for those times when you're not acting enough, when you're not getting enough forward momentum. Because sometimes being stuck is also, it's not just that you've stopped, it's that you're just making slow progress and we want to, you know, see the results much, much quicker. So that's going to be it for the show today, guys.
