Chapters
Having work that's challenging, having work that you're super interested in, that when things go sideways, you will say, you know what, I really need to figure this out, or okay, this is just a bump in the road. You know, it helps you with resilience so that meaning and work is super important. And then third, most people find meaning and fulfillment in relationships. So having kids, you know, having a close group of friends that, that you can joke around with, board game groups or what, you know, whatever, fellow musicians, whatever it is for you, but you know, people in the community, people in your religious organizations, people in other organizations or book clubs and stuff. So, like, the list goes on and on, but there's a relational component to meaning. And like, when you start your meaningful revolution, you need to find that self discovery, you need to find that those tasks, those things, those hobbies that help you feel fulfilled. And you have to find the relationships that add on to it. When you get those three things figured out, that's when the magic happens. That's when, you know, you feel the most fulfilled and you're doing good. You have a sense of service out in the world, I think. So that's why this podcast, I think, is super important and why we interview people about the things that they absolutely love or the things that they're experts about and could talk about all the time. Because you can pull a little bit of that emotional energy of just how excited people are about particular topics or particular things. And you also see how that passion connects them to the people around them. You know, so I've had, you know, interviewed folks that have started wellness organizations in their companies, right? The places where they worked. You went from a lawyer to wellness captain or leader in the organization. And they mobilized the people in that organization by just talking about wellness all the time. And I absolutely love that. Or talked with a lady, you know, Kristen. So that was Carrie, that from the first time, if you want to go check out that episode. But you know, Kristen talked about a lot of this inclusion work, and it's just about being curious about people, not making assumptions and trying to understand that there's a common humanity. And it's really impactful. It's really engaging listening and talking with her because she's so passionate about that work.
