Start with a three to seven day food log tracking what you eat, when, your energy and mood, sleep hours, and water intake. You'll spot patterns like how sleep affects cravings or when you have the most energy. That's your foundation before tackling movement and breathing.
If someone were to there's a complete newbie in wellness would be like the first one to three things a beginner should really look into and do to get momentum, to get started.
Love it. So three things. If I was going to pick three, I would pick an eat, a move, and a breathe. Right? So, okay, eat. I would start with. The first thing I always have clients do is to keep a food log and to do it for anywhere from three to seven days. And the things that I have them track are what they're eating and at what time of day, as well as any, as well as their energy levels throughout the day around those times, and anything to do with their mood around those times. And the reason that I start there is because very often we think we have an idea of what we're eating, but when we actually put pen to paper, we start to see pattern. We start to see things, things a little bit more clearly in terms of what we're actually eating every day. And when you have a log over anywhere from three to seven days, you can start to identify patterns and you start to notice. I also have them track the hours of sleep from the night before and how much water they're drinking.
Okay.
And so as you start to track all of that information, you can begin to pick up on patterns like, okay, when I don't get enough sleep the night before, but I wind up having sugar cravings the next afternoon. And so that's something I need to look out for. Or on the days that I'm skipping breakfast, I'm overeating at at night. And so it can provide a lot of insight just by keeping track of what you're already doing.
