A founder who started his company at 21 argues that age doesn't matter in business, only your willingness to accept risk. He had fewer obligations then, but says anyone in their 30s, 40s, 50s, or 60s can start if they stop letting fear hold them back.
For business ownership, number one, anyone has that capability. The biggest thing you have to do is get over the risk factor. You know, there's always a risk. I mean, I started mine when I was 21 because I just had graduated college and you can say, well, it's easier then. I didn't have a family, didn't have those other things. But we have to decide if you want to become a business owner. You have to take that risk. So it doesn't matter if you're in your mid-30s, if you're in your mid-40s, 50s, or even your 60s.
