In this motivational video, certified high‑performance coach Shawn Buttner (also spelled Sean/Sean Butler) addresses how to stay present and purposeful amid the chaos, stress, and constant news cycle that dominate daily life. He argues that showing up for one’s purpose—whether with family, at work, or for personal health—requires mindful awareness and emotional regulation. Buttner offers practical grounding techniques such as focused breathing, brief movement (e.g., jumping jacks), and meditation to calm the nervous system and curb negative self‑talk. He also describes his own workflow: dividing the day into work blocks, setting clear intentions for each segment, and using short grounding exercises between tasks to maintain focus and excellence. Throughout, he emphasizes that personal transformation begins with internal work, which then ripples outward to influence broader societal energy. He invites viewers to engage further via his website (shinebutter.com/ask), where they can submit questions for a live “Ask a Coach” session, and encourages ongoing community interaction. The video concludes with a reminder to apply these practices daily and a preview of upcoming coaching Q&A content.

Certified high performance coach, and we help you advance in your life quicker so you can transform your life and get the results that you want. Now, as a certified high performance coach, it's my job to push you out of control, you to help provide perspective or maybe give you some new ideas to help you on your quest for a better life. And today we're talking about how are you showing up, right? I think with all. Amidst all the chaos out there, all of the stress, all of the news, like, especially, you know, if you're watching what's happening here in the US or had been this, this past week, you know, there's a lot of stress, there's a lot of distraction. There's a lot of things that can take you off purpose or take you out of your presence. And if you're going to win today, if you're going to win the week, putting your good out into the world, which I hope you're doing, you know, putting your good out in the world, then we need to be very present and very mindful of our presence as we go through our day. So whether that is making sure that the experience with your kids is dead on, whether that is applying your full focus to what you're working on so that, you know, you can make the biggest difference in debt in the universe through your organization or through your team or, you know, through your work, it could just be being very present on handling your own stuff. Right? There's a lot of emotions flying around, rightfully so. And so how are you taming those emotions so that you can find your calm center and help lead, better lead the people around you through this turbulent time? Because I think we need more of those types of messages where, how are we helping each other cope? How are we helping each other excel? How are we challenging each other to then put our good out in the world so that we can change the energy out there? And I know that that's kind of a abstract thing, change the energy, but I also think that it's, it's very important because it's very negative if you look at any of the news, any of that stuff. And if we want to make changes there, if we want to make changes politically, we need to solve what's going on inside ourselves. And I firmly believe that no matter what your political leanings are now, I don't want to make this a politics thing because we're all following that pretty closely. But I do, again, want to come back to how are you showing up for your purpose? How are you showing up for the Good that you put up in the world. And if you haven't, you know, take a couple of breaths. If you haven't done that yet today, you know, just, you know, a couple of seconds in through the nose, hold it, a couple of seconds out through your mouth, hold it. That's a really good quick exercise to get you back in your body, back in the place where you're at. So it's part of what I do every day during. So I have like work blocks on how I'm building my business or whatever I got going on during the day and in between times. That's a really great thing to be like, okay, what's my intention for the next thing? How am I going to do it with excellence? How am I going to advance things forward for my business, for my family and for my health? You know. So I highly recommend you have some type of grounding exercise. Whether it's that or meditation. Could just be doing 10 jumping jacks, whatever it is that gets you out of that feeling that's going on in your chest. If you have that or those thoughts going around in your head. Especially if you have a lot of people this past year have been like, how do I deal with negative self talk? Move your body, right? Just get into exercise, get jumping. I assure you it will seem less at the end of it. So there's that. But if you manage your presence greatly, you know, you'll be able to not do the stress eating, not do a whole bunch of other things. I feel like I'm kind of going around in a circle today, but just bit a little lot of coffee after my morning workout. Oh guys, if you have any questions, you can always go to Sean Butler.com ask or direct message or comment below where you're watching this video. I love to address what you guys have, question the questions you guys have caffeine and live and so, you know, let me know and I'll address them as best as I can from the perspective of a high performance coach, from personal development, from all the weird books that I've read over the years. You know, having been in this industry for probably about five years solid, but reading up on it for probably five or ten years before that. So there's something I can do to help, let me know because that's what I'm here to do. That's all I want to do. So let me help you is I guess, the way to put it. So. All right folks, I hope you enjoyed this. I'll see you tomorrow. And then on Friday we'll do the ask a coach question, so make sure you go to shinebutter.com ask and see you there. Take care.
