#SYDWAC - Connect With Your Mission

Sean Butler argues that waiting for inspiration kills your energy. Instead, schedule physical health, creative work, service, and community time as non-negotiable calendar items. Post your commitment in the comments to stay accountable.

Or not connected to your work or what you're doing every day? You know, we need to connect with our missions more. Because if you don't feel fully vibrant, fully passionate, fully excited, fully engaged by what you're doing day to day, it's not a fun life, right? And I think we all have these moments in our lives where we might go through something like this, or maybe you're going through that now, which is why I'm doing this video. But, you know, if you don't feel fully passionate, fully alive, fully engaged, chances are you've lost the intention to create joy in your life. And this is something that I talk about quite a bit. But, you know, what are you. What are you doing every day that makes you excited, that lights you up, that, you know, feeds your creativity, feeds your human spirit? You know, I don't think we talk about doing those things that really fuel our spirit because we're caught up in all our obligations. We have. We have to put money or get money to put food on the table, provide shelter. We need to take care of people, we need to do all these things and we lose touch with that human experience. You know, what is, is it that makes people people? It's this creation, it's this connection, it's this community. It's all these, I guess, words that begin with C that really help not, you know, need to be careful with that, but, you know, all the. All these words that define our human experience. So if you're just sitting there waiting for passion to come into your life, excitement to come in your life, to feel energized instead of tired and exhausted and all that, we need to shift from wanting that, to find us into creating it in our own lives by doing right. I know this is something that a lot of personal development people talk about, but it's so important that we remind ourselves because again, with all the obligations, all of the responsibilities, all of all of the things that we just get comfortable with, right? You're doing the same thing over and over and over again for your job or in your daily life, that it loses its meaning, it loses its special. Your brain goes on autopilot and we stop feeling like we're living our lives and that's what we don't want to have happen. So start living your life. Start doing. And part of that is every day, are you getting exercise? Are you moving your body? If that's a walk outside, if it's lifting weights, if it's running, cycling, what is that for you? How are you taking care of your physical body, that whole category, exercise, nutrition, sleep, all the things, basics that we talk about. How are you igniting your spirit? Are you creating good art? Are you creating good works? Are you creating, you know, good meals, good experiences for others? And are you doing it in service to others, or are you doing it just to satisfy your own curiosity? That's also incredibly important? Insane. So, you know, how are you nurturing that emotional and that spiritual side of yourself? To feel again, to, you know, ignite again that passion for being a human being here on Earth? That's the big message. So whatever you are doing to create energy in your life, to create that excitement, that vibrancy that we all seek, I hope you have it on your calendar today. And if you don't, I hope you get it on your calendar today so that when I ask this question tomorrow, you'll be like, I got it. I know what I'm doing today. And post it below this video in a comment with what you do to really get excited about life. That's what we need to be excited, more excited about what we're doing and how we're connecting with people. And I think that'll go a long way in changing a lot of the online environment, you know. So hope you enjoyed this, guys. I'll see you guys tomorrow. Sean Butler signing off. Go forth. Live with more joy, personal growth and impact in your communities today.
