In this solo motivational video, certified high‑performance coach Shawn (Sean) Buttner opens with a brief greeting and a call for audience engagement on social media. He delivers a central message that “you are enough” provided you are putting forth your best effort, drawing on personal upbringing and professional experience to illustrate the importance of self‑worth, effort, and optimism. He references a Dale Carnegie quote about controlling attitude, and addresses common insecurities about age, experience, or status, emphasizing that every role—from janitor to CEO—is valuable while still encouraging ambition. The bulk of the video is devoted to Buttner’s weekly “Friday Reflection” habit, which consists of three structured questions: (1) What went well this week? (2) What didn’t go as expected? (3) What three specific actions will you try next week? He explains the purpose of each question—gratitude, learning from setbacks, and proactive planning—highlighting how consistent reflection fuels productivity, clarity, and impact. He concludes by reiterating the “you are enough” message, inviting viewers to a free one‑on‑one strategy session and promoting a free training titled “Six Secrets of High‑Performing Introverts,” which includes an application for a personalized hour of coaching. The video ends with a friendly sign‑off and a note about a possible schedule change for future episodes.

Sam. Sa. Foreign. Hey, good morning everyone. Welcome to start your day. Great. Start your day with a quote, with a coach. I am your certified high performance coach, Sean Butner. And today we got a really great show for you. So before we do our Friday reflection, since it is Friday when we're recording the show, we're going to do a quick positive message for you. So before we get into that, if you do the social media thing like share, subscribe. If you have any questions or comments of encouragement, please place them below. Wherever you're watching this video helps me out, helps me see what you guys like, helps improve the content as we go forward and build a community together of high performers, high performing introverts and all of that. So one thank you for that ahead of time and let's get to it. So what is the message before our reflection today? And that is that you are enough, right? Wherever you are in your life, wherever you are in your career, in your relationships, in your health, in your general well being, that's good enough, right? And the caveat here is it's good enough if you've been putting forth your best effort. And that's something that was drilled into me as a kid and it's really served me in my life, my career in tech and as a business owner, as someone that's had a few relationships and friendships along the way. But putting forth your best effort into cultivating positivity, to cultivating intimacy, closeness, cultivating leadership is the name of the game, I think. You know, as a high performance coach, I'm constantly pushing people into higher levels of clarity, energy, courage, productivity and influence so that they can live up to their full potential, right? And that means not every day is a win. You know, we all have our ups and downs, we all struggle with things. Sometimes things in the world happen that slow us down and what can we do about it, right? I think it was Dale Carnegie trying to do this off the top of my head. But here's a quote saying that we can't control what happens to us, but we can control our attitude towards it. Meaning that even in the worst circumstances, we can choose to move forward with grace, with understanding, with a little bit of humor, with a little bit of hope or not, right? That is a choice that we have and wherever you're at, it is enough, right? So I work with a lot of people and this is why I think this message is important is they think that they're not. They're too old or they're too young, they're too experienced or not experienced enough, they feel like, you know, they've been working for so hard and not getting the results that they're not doing enough or the right thing or so on and so on and so on. And that is an insecurity infiltrating your thoughts. And at the end of the day, doesn't matter if you've gone to an Ivy League school, doesn't matter if you, you know, you know, are in the trades. It doesn't matter if you're garbage man, janitor, CEO, whatever. Like whatever you're doing and is enough. And it's also good to stoke ambition, right? So if you want something more for yourself, if you're going after starting a business, if you're going after changing, transforming your career, like that's also good, right? You can be enough where you're at and can still want more and still really start to build your life into that. So I just wanted to have that message of hope, of optimism for you today on a Friday, in the middle of May when we're recording this. So hopefully that serves you. So it's Friday reflection. So we do the same three questions every Friday as a habit because it's our habits that make us more successful, more effective, more connected, help us progress more through our careers, relationships, lives and health. So that's why we're doing this. So we'll get to the first question we ask ourselves every Friday and that is what went well this week? So what are the wins? What is something you need to celebrate? What is something you need to incorporate? Because so many times we finish a project, we finish a task, we finish something in our lives and we don't slow down enough to say, wow, I did that. Wow, that put goodness out into the world. Put my unique goodness out in the world. And that feels good. It's a simple gratitude exercise for what you have done this past week. And it seems real simple and might seem silly to some folks, but it's immensely powerful, it's hugely powerful to recognize the impact you have with the people around you at work, at home, in your communities and whatnot. So it's super important to keep that on the top of your mind every week. And since we're reflecting on Friday, it's a good question to journal about to keep on the top of your mind every week. So I love that question. So, okay, second question is what? This week did not go as expected. Now, as well intentioned as we are, as productive as we are, as much sweat, toil, tears that we put out into the world, sometimes we're working on the wrong thing or sometimes it just didn't turn over the way that we thought it would. And that's fine. You know, this is the learning part of the week where we can analyze, we can do the post mortem of that project. Didn't advance as quick because. And this is what I'm going to do next week. And that's the next question. But, you know, I really wish that I would have, you know, made this happen in my relationship this week. You know, there's a lot of these things where we had an expectation, we had a goal, we had a task, and it either didn't get done or didn't get done the way that we thought it would. Right. And so just being aware of that. Right. And it's not beating yourself up over it. It's not being like, oh, I can't do this, it's just noticing it. Right. Okay, this didn't go as well. We'll need to do the next question which is what are the things or three things to do in particular differently or to try next week? So based on what didn't go as expected or what really worked, you know, what's one thing you're going to repeat that was really good. That worked. What's one thing you need to change because it didn't work? And what's one thing maybe you need to tweak to make it even better? Right? So we'll give you three different angles on that. I mean, just picking three different things to change next week can help you increase your performance, increase your productivity, increase your effectiveness. But this is, you know, what we're talking about this week. Try to take a different angle each week. So it's not super boring for y', all. But, you know, it's such an impactful performance type question. You should be asking your teams, you should be asking the people around you often because, you know, that feeling of progress is really seductive. It's really, you know, that feeling that you're moving ahead together can change the world, I firmly believe so. You definitely want to make sure you're asking yourself that question. So with that said, guys, I hope you enjoyed this weekly habit of going through the three different reflection questions. I hope you guys took the message to heart that you are enough, that, you know, can always, if we're doing our best, things will improve. Now, that's my personal belief and I have yet to be disproven on that. So go forth and crush next week. If you are like, hey, Sean, I need some little extra personalized attention.
