#SYDWAC - Monday Motivation!

Sean Buttner opens his Monday motivation show with a three-question reflection: what excites you this week, what are you looking forward to, and what struggle might you face. Sa. Hey, good morning, everyone. Welcome to start your day. Great. Start your day with a coach. I am your host, Certified high performance. Certified high performance coach Sean Butner. Waking up the coffee still trying to percolate, but got a great show for you this morning live. So basically, you know, every Monday we have the same three questions that we talk about. And we'll get to those, of course, in a little bit. But before we get there, I wanted to talk about the importance of generating optimism and excitement and hope at the beginning of each week. And it's something that I really believe in, being usually the most optimistic person in the office when I worked in corporate America. So why really, the bottom line is it's just more fun, right? If you think that good things are up for you coming in the week that you'll. Your actions are worthwhile. One, you'll be more motivated. Two, you'll be able to handle a lot more of the crazy, unexpected things that come your way. And three, it is not only building resilience, but, you know, training your brain to look for the good that's going to be coming. Right? And because it's so easy to fall into what's wrong with your job, what's wrong with relationships, what's wrong with world? You know, if you take a look at a lot of the news media, it's playing on the fact that you're going to respond more to negative than to those positive stories. So how do you combat that? How do you train your brain to be looking for the good in the world, to be looking for the good that you're putting out in the world and, you know, building that connection to what you are doing and what's happening, Right? That's why we do the Monday reflection, right? That's why, you know, every Monday I'm asking you the question, what are you excited for this week? Like, what are you looking forward to this week? What are you looking to put out in the world this week? That's good because, you know, so many times we're caught in doing too, you know, and taking a moment to be like, yeah, this is going to be good, you know, will help you build that again, that psychology. But. And train your brain for the future. But it also, you know, helps you feel more connected to what you're doing. And isn't that what it's all about? Isn't that why we live? It's to feel connected to our lives. It's not to just do the things, it's to feel. It's to be human. It's to experience life. So all these types of good things. So when I ask you that question, what good is coming for you this week? What are you excited for? Like what is coming up right now? Post that below where you're watching this video so we can celebrate you. One and I again, the technology sometimes isn't the best for me responding in real time. But I'll do my best as we're here. I'll definitely cheer you on after this live video here. But you know, so for me, I have some really big work projects that I'm planning. I'm really excited about. I, you know, I'm really looking forward to this week, you know, getting into that a bit more and just trying to increase my impact. Like that's been my focus this year is impact. It's, you know, growing my business so I can take care of my family too and hopefully we can, you know, move and do that, all that kind of stuff. But you know, at the end of the day, its contribution, its impact, it's helping people get to that next level. So that's me. What is it for you? Right? The second question I love to ask for you or ask you about cannot make words today, guys. Thanks for bearing with me. Second question is, you know, what are you excited for? I guess second question is, what are you looking forward to? Third question, I guess I need to make those a little bit more specific. Third question is, what is a potential thing you're going to struggle with this week and how can you get around it? Right? Is it engaging relationships? Is it, you know, creating quiet time, you know, whatever that is for you? And so for me, I need quiet time to focus. And my wife Ashley is out away for the next couple of days visiting some friends up in Oregon, which is pretty awesome. So what my whole thing that I'm going to hopefully not struggle with is sitting down and getting some work done when she's out of the house? Right? So working from home, working out of the home office. And you know, she can be really distracting because she's cute and fun and I really enjoy your company, you know. So with her being away, I'm going to take that opportunity to really flesh out some courses that I have some ideas for and some cool things for you guys coming up. So more on that to be announced later. But you know, what is something that you might struggle with? Whether it's, you know, getting that focus time or getting some stuff done or advancing your life in a meaningful way that again, you know, what are you going to do if that Struggle comes up and for me it's just going to like go for a walk, journal a bit more. But I think with some time to just like have the house completely quiet and focus on work, that it's going to be really productive for me. So. But that's my week. So again, those three questions are what are you excited for this week? What are you looking forward to? What's something you might struggle with, that might trip you up, you know, and honor that. Right? And really think about how is the work you're going to do this week, the things you're going to make happen this week really going to improve your life, your family's life, the impact you have on your community and organizations. And I think you'll find yourself a little bit more motivated and a little bit more connected to the things you're doing. So that's the show for today, folks.
