In this motivational Monday episode, certified high‑performance coach Sean Butler (also spelled Sean Buttner) encourages viewers to adopt an "architect and engineer" mindset for their lives. He contrasts the "case of the Mondays" attitude—seeing Monday as a burdensome routine—with a proactive stance that involves weekly reflection, setting clear intentions, and viewing oneself as the designer and builder of one’s personal and professional future. Butler shares a light‑hearted anecdote from a coffee shop to illustrate the power of optimism, cites Steve Jobs on living a life designed by others versus designing your own, and outlines concrete questions to consider each week (what you look forward to, potential struggles, and strategies to handle them). He promotes a free video training titled "Six Secrets of High Performing Introverts" and offers a complimentary one‑hour strategy session for personalized life‑design coaching. The episode ends with a call to action for viewers to share the video, comment on their weekly goals, and tune in for the next show.

Sa. Foreign. Good morning, everyone. Welcome to start your day. Great. Start your day with a coach. I am your host, certified high performance coach Sean Butner. It's Monday, so that's motivation Monday here on the show. And really, we're here to help you live with more happiness and joy every day. We're here to help you grow in your personal and professional life, and we're hoping you have a greater impact in the world because of your personal growth. So today we're talking about this idea that you are the architect and the engineer of your life, Right? And why would we be talking about that? Well, you know, first off, you know, what makes a Monday so great? Or what makes it just a case of the Mondays, you know, what's the difference there? And if you really break it down, you know, to the different types of folks, you know, there's the people like me who are very excited on Mondays, who, you know, as we've done this Monday show, you know, for the last couple years, it's, you know, what's. What are you looking forward to this week? What are you excited about? What are some struggles that you might have to overcome and how are you going to overcome it? Right? So it's very simple, like to do thing. But behind that repetitive task that I believe we all should have a habit of reflection and all have a habit of setting an intention for the week. It comes down to this idea that we design and build our lives, too, right? And then that's the difference between someone with a case of the Mondays who thinks it's just another day where they have to do stuff that they don't particularly love or passionate about, and you're just going through the motions. And someone who is like, okay, it's Monday. Let's get our head in the game. That's, you know, really do the moves that are going to impact our lives, the lives of our family, the lives of our organizations and community. And that all comes down to attitude. And that attitude starts with that belief that I am the designer, I am the builder, I'm the architect and the engineer. So a quick story on this. You know, when I worked in corporate, you know, we had a coffee shop in the the building where I worked. So every morning, you know, super caffeine addict. So I'd go talk to the baristas and every Monday be like, happy Monday. And usually there would be one of the baristas would be like, yeah, whatever, guy. Like, tone it down, right? And so one time, you know, just, I was like, hey, happy Monday. She's like, no, it's Monday, man. And, like, looked at her and I'm like, well, that's on you. And it caused the other barista to start cracking up at her where she's like, okay, like, fair enough. And we all had a good laugh set, you know, said it with a big smile. But, you know, it's that optimism for the week, it's that energy and intention you're setting for the week that's really going to help you advance your life and succeed and, you know, brightened and be the light around for people around you. So really, when we talk about this simple habit of, you know, what am I looking forward to this week? What is going to really move me forward? What am I going to struggle with and how am I going to handle that with grace or minimize it so that I can really maximize my effectiveness and productivity? You know, that's why we do this Monday show and that's why I love doing this Monday show and that's why we're here, guys. So with that said, you know, please do the social media thing and share this with three friends, if you would, who might need a little bit of a boost of optimism in the morning or some folks that might need to hear this idea that, you know, we are the architect and engineer, right? And, you know, like to maybe break that down a little bit more. It's, you know, Steve Jobs said something that, you know, people go to Jobs that other people design for them, so they're living lives that other people designed for them. But, you know, when we realize again that we have that agency to be like, you know what? This is the kind of life I want to live. I want to live bicoastal. I want to live, you know, have a, like, riding hut somewhere in the forest somewhere, you know, in Oregon or, you know, I want to. You have a more consistent, you know, community of musicians that I'm interacting with in my life. You know, like, we can make those choices and we can make moves to make that happen, to create the things that we want in the world and ultimately that puts in more good. So, yeah, that's, that's the big idea this Monday, guys. So just believe in your ability to think about what you want for your life. Think about your ability to then make it happen. And maybe you need a little bit of help with, you know, either of those or both of those or just one. You can always. Below this video, there's a link for a free video training called the Six Secrets of High Performing Introverts. It's something that I've been really working on recently. But more importantly, if you are struggling and want some extra help one on one on how to design your life or how to really get in into implementing it, taking bold action, making it happen, then there's also a free one hour strategy session that you can apply for when you sign up for that video. We build you a plan over the course of an hour using high performance coaching to really make sure that you have that plan, you have that design for yourself set and you can get after it. You know there's something in the high performance process for you that'll help you get moving. So that's it guys. Happy Monday. Go out there, crush it, go out, design your life, go out there, make some bold actions this week.
