Chapters
All right. Good morning, everyone. Welcome to start your day. Great. Start your day with a coach. I'm your host, Sean Butner, certified high performance coach. And if you've been following me for a while, you notice I've not been doing a lot of the live streams as regularly. And you probably know that's because I was on jury duty. So today, as I'm starting to get back into doing these live streams, getting a little bit more focus, I'll talk a little bit about some updates, some exciting things that are coming for you at the end of the month. If you're into productivity and challenges, and just a little bit on my experience doing my civic duty on a jury in a criminal case. So, you know, usually, you know, these videos are all about how to, you know, be even more awesome in your life. That's my mission here. And I think what you're going to start seeing a little bit more going forward is getting a little bit more focused on entrepreneurs and getting a little bit more focused on professionals. So the reason being is as I've gone through this journey of being a coach, trying to pull from my experiences to help people reach their next level levels. You know, my whole mission has been to help people live lives that they really love and want to live. And it's been kind of murky on exactly who I want to help. So having a lot of time to reflect and adrenal, even though if I couldn't be on these streams with you guys, really got me thinking about, okay, who, who can I help and who can I help the most? So you'll start seeing things more geared towards entrepreneurs or professionals and. Because that's where I'm at. But really, any type of profession, how do you get through the day without, you know, becoming so stressed that you freak out about how to manage your business, how to manage the emotional ups and downs of setbacks and, you know, like, running a business is crazy. Especially, you know, through Covid. After Covid, how do we get to make decisions quicker so we can move on with our lives and be a little bit more decisive, a little bit more bold and kind of lean into that a bit more. So that's kind of where I'm thinking. If there's anything that you guys want to hear, though, I wanted to say, like, this isn't just me kind of deciding. I'd love to know what kind of topics you'd like to hear. So if you are a professional, if you're an entrepreneur, or if you're someone, at the very least, that's trying to better their life. What's really going to help you get to that next level? What's going to help you overcome any of the struggles you have? What's going to help you really, you know, get your life feeling like you're living your best life, that you're, you're living vibrantly into everything that, that you really want. So that's kind of where I'm going with, with all this. Now that I've been doing these live streams nearly every day for a year, minus the couple of weeks or so during jury duty. Still been able to post a lot of those videos, which has been cool. But yeah, so I want to be a little bit more directed, a little bit more intentional. I want to help you guys out even more, you know, because I, I especially, I've been feeling a little guilty the last couple of weeks about not helping you guys out as much as I possibly could. So I don't want you guys to feel neglected and I want to make sure that we're taking care of you as you journey forward into living that, that big dream you have for yourself, your family and your communities. So that's point one. Point two. I'll let you guys know that I am relaunching my Work from Home productivity challenge at the end of the month on July 21st. And I'm really excited about this, have some new updates. I've had some new time to think of things. There's been more people that have experienced an initial round of working from home and I'm really excited to help you. 10 times your productivity from anywhere. Right. So I mean, if you're still going to the office, these tips will still help you. But as we move into a world where you start to think like, do I want to go to the office? What if I want to like, go on vacation and work from a hotel in Cabo and still get like, be a productive weapon that's undeniable in your organizations. So people can't complain that you're slacking off because you're able to live your life and do your work at the same time. So that's the goal of this 10 day challenge. We'll go live every day at 10, even on the weekends. So I'm really, really excited about this. A lot of people really loved it last time and I'm hoping that you'll love it this time. So make sure you check that out. You can check the link below this video or go to the link in my bio or my bio link. I don't know how to say that. But if you check the bio, wherever you're watching this, there should be a links page to all the different things that you have. The Work from Home Challenge 2021 will be there. Click on that button, sign up. You'll get updates as this starts to come together. So again, like sign up, it's free. I'm doing this part of a. I want to, you know, give you guys a gift for being away for too long and just to help you get into your productivity and get moving forward. Excuse me. Okay, so final thing, right? So jury duty, civic duty. Like what a weird experience. Like the last six weeks, a lot of ups and downs, a lot of like weighty decisions. You know, it's not entirely pleasant to have someone's, you know, or a group of people's lives are going to be impacted no matter what you decide on a criminal case. But I noticed that the continual driving home the point that guilty or no of innocent until proven guilty of trying to check your biases, you know, got me thinking that, you know, at if everything goes right in the justice system, it's really awesome. And if you can get the right people in the mix, if you can really check your biases, if you can really listen to the evidence in a logical, drawn out matter, that it's a really great system. And you know, despite what you hear the news a lot, that was pleasantly surprising. Now still tons of stuff to change in efficiency wise and making sure that the bias is rooted out because it's going to depend area by area. But I also this idea that you assume people are good until you have a story that proves that they're not beyond a reasonable doubt. There's an interesting thing and just an observation on kind of like socially in the US where a lot of like people, especially if you read history, will say that Americans tend to be really optimistic and trusting. And I think it's part of this shared experience we have in our justice system, you know, that we, we know that people generally are good until proven not and so just assume people are good. And you know, I think that sense of optimism is really something I'm going to take away from this experience as an optimist, but just kind of saying, oh, okay, I can't kind of see how this system of, you know, the judicial system can help with that. Right. Again, there's tons and tons and tons of ways we could say, well, what about this? And we need to fix it. And I think, you know, there's a podcast put out by Radiolab called More perfect. You know, the idea that we're striving to make it more perfect that, you know, it's not done. Like, you can't say that we should just keep it as it is. It needs to continue to evolve as our society evolves, as we evolve. And so that's kind of been my, my weird swirlings on this. And I'm not going to talk about the trial because I'm tired of talking about it and thinking about it. And yeah, so, yeah, I tell some of my friends one on one, but I don't want to talk about it in social media. Just criminal case. Not really something I want to be thinking about too much. But so, okay, outside of that, guys, like, that's what's going on. You know, a little bit of focus change in these live casts every day. Still going to be doing the Ask a Coach a question on Fridays. So if you have anything that you are struggling with as a professional entrepreneur or someone trying to improve their life. I still don't. I'm not gonna not start. Stop serving those folks. But if you put a comment below, I'll answer that tomorrow at 10. Right. Because today is Thursday is Thursday. So there we go, guys again. If you have any questions or anything you'd like to see in the productivity challenge or showing up as content, things that you're struggling with that you're like, maybe I could use a little bit of a different perspective or a different approach. I would love to be the one to, you know, give it a go and pull together all my resources on high performance and with my clients to help you out. So on that note, I just want to say, hey, Dave, I see that you're there. Let's see. It's the only person that's visible. Good to see you, man. Glad that you're, you're on the show. And guys, go out live with more joy, more personal growth and more impact in your communities. And I'll talk to you guys tomorrow. Okay, take care.
