#SYDWAC - What Are You Celebrating?!

Sean Butner argues you're probably ignoring your own wins. Most people downplay achievements and become their harshest critics, which leaves them feeling empty even when they're productive. He wants you to name what you've actually accomplished this week, feel it, and stop waiting for permission to be proud.

Good morning, everyone. Welcome to start your day. Great. Start your day with the coach. I am your certified high performance coach, Sean Butner. And today we're talking about celebrating all the momentum you're getting. So, as a certified high performance coach, I consistently meet people that are devaluing all the great work that they're doing in their lives. And so, you know, if you've ever, you know, been really great at crushing your task list, like, you have that checklist and you get so many things done, but you still feel like, you know, there's something more for you. Like, you know, you could have done more or that you didn't move forward. The big projects or the big dreams or ambitions you have in your life, or maybe, you know, you were able to get the family taken care of each day and maybe know. So you get the kids ready, get them to school and get to work, and you just push on to the next thing. You don't take a moment to measure the things big and small that show that you're making progress, that show that you're doing the important, meaningful things in your life, and, you know, maybe you celebrate a big win. But if we don't stop to recognize our progress, to recognize our momentum, we can feel that emptiness or that. That thanklessness or even get disheartened, you know, and isn't it true that your harshest critic is you, that you can discount everything that you're doing, you know, because you're humble or because you always feel like you could be doing a hundred times more of the thing, like the work things, the family things, the relationship things, the health things? And so this video today, excuse me, is to just celebrate everything that's going on in your life. You know, did you find that new job? Did you start that business? Did you get consistent on your workout or walking outside this week? Did you, you know, get the school to get the kids to school on time every day this week? Did you learn something new? Did you create that new thing? I just want to say that we see you, and I want to say good job and give you permission to feel that, you know, take a moment to really feel how the hard work has been impacting your life, how to really think about and feel about how you're impacting your teams and how you're impacting your family and how you're impacting your markets and your community, to take a moment and feel in your heart all the progress. Because if you can feel the progress and recognize it, maybe you'd go a little bit easier on Yourself, maybe you would say, you know what? I do a lot. I've done a lot, I've accomplished a lot. I've had a lot of success. I've been fortunate to have a lot of success. I've been fortunate to be able to be a good parent, to be a great leader in my organization. And, you know, when you have that moment and you can, can really feel the joy that comes from doing good work and being there for others, that's when, you know, it doesn't seem so thankless. That's when it doesn't seem so empty. You know, you're. You feel more fulfilled and you feel more motivated to keep going, you know, and that's what we're doing. We see you. Good job. And if you need help celebrating something that's going on, big or small, in your life, comment below. This video. The whole purpose today is to just cheer you on, to encourage you to keep going, to say that with the sweat, the tears, the toil, the work, the effort that you're putting out there, it means something. And it means something, hopefully to you and your ideal life that you're working towards, that big ambition, that big goal, that big transformation that's going to make a difference for you, your family and your communities and organizations. So that said, folks, that's the whole video. Today I just wanted to celebrate you, celebrate this community because at some point you made the decision to transform, or maybe you just recently did, and you're doing the work. And I don't want you to get caught in some of the slogging along that sometimes comes with progress, where you're just at it, you keep going and you're not feeling the forward momentum. Cause it is so important to feel that progress. So take a moment, feel the day, recognize all the great things that you do and go forth. Live with more joy, personal growth and impact in your communities. This is Sean Butner signing off today. We'll be back tomorrow, same time, same place. Or ask. No. Start your day with a coach. So we'll see you then, guys.
