In this solo livecast, certified high‑performance coach Sean (Sean) Buttner opens with a Monday‑motivation prompt, asking viewers to rate on a 1‑10 scale how clear their plans are for today, the week, the next three months, and the end of the year. He argues that low clarity leads to distraction, stalled progress, and burnout, especially as the year‑end rush approaches. Sean explores the emotional weight of dread that many feel about upcoming work and holiday pressures, urging listeners to recognize and act on that dread now rather than later. He shares a personal anecdote about his three‑year wedding anniversary trip, which gave him perspective and reignited motivation, illustrating how a change in scenery can break cycles of avoidance. From that insight he derives concrete habits: morning journaling to surface what’s being avoided, delegating or removing tasks, and applying five high‑performance habits. Throughout, he emphasizes that without a concrete plan, people sabotage themselves, and he positions himself as a resource to help raise their clarity score. The video concludes with a call‑to‑action to apply for a free one‑hour strategy session via seanbutner.com, promising a tailored plan and high‑performance habits to finish the year strong and avoid upcoming burnout.

Welcome to start your day. Great. Start your day with a coach. I am your certified high performance coach, Sean Butner. And it's motivation Monday, guys. So we're gonna be talking about, what are you looking forward today? What are you looking forward to this week and the coming times? Because, you know, I feel like we're getting to the end of the year now. We're getting to the point where, you know, there's a big, you know, usually work rush before the holidays and things kind of slow down and. And so it's really important that we're thinking about, especially in this time in the economy, in the world, like, what is your plan? Like, if you had to rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 right now on how clear is the plan for this week, the end of the year, you know, what would you rate yourself with? 10 being like, crystal clear, I know exactly what I got to do and I'm excited and getting after it. And one, because being like, I'm just bumbling through, maybe I feel like I'm stuck and I don't know what to do to move forward. And it's such an important reflection question. I wanted to start this live cast with today, guys, because, you know, if you don't have a lot of clarity on it, you're going to feel like you're not making progress or distractions will come up and they'll take precedent over the things you need to do to provide for your. Your career, for your family, to deliver value and create the impact you want in the world. All those types of good things will get derailed. You'll be off purpose if you don't have a plan and a set of actions to go after it and really make that a reality for you. And so another way to look at this, too, the that I wanted to talk about on today's live show real quick is if you thought about the next three months till New Year's, right? Are you filled with excitement with all the things you have to do for your work and the family you're going to see, or do you have a sense of dread in any of those places? Do you have a sense of dread with Christmas or sense of dread with all the things you're too busy already and you're going to have to do this neb rush for the end of the year for your business? And if you feel that sense of dread, what are you doing to overcome that? Right? Because if you're not looking forward to your life here in the next three months, you know, there's Nothing that I could do. There's nothing that another person can do that'll help change that. But you can, right? I can't encourage you to make a decision to delegate. I can make a decision to take something off your calendar. I can make the suggestion for you to add something that'll help fuel you up and rejuvenate in this next year if you have that sense of dread. But if you feel that and you're not acting on it today and right now, then you know, you're just setting yourself up to not succeed at the end of this year. So that's my opinion. But again, like, you can choose today, you can choose right now to be like, I need to switch this, you know, and for me this has showed up and I'm a bit of an introvert, as you probably know, if you followed me for a while. And so like doing stuff like this is really energy consuming. Doing sales videos for my business are completely draining. And you know, having done so many of them right still today, like, I know this week I need to re record some stuff, I need to record some new stuff and I'm like, I don't really want to be the guy that's like, hey, go take a look at these cool things that I, you know, that'll help you and if you think it'll help you sign up and we'll work together and we'll help you, you know, avoid. Burnout will help you get through burnout if you're in it right now, help you build the life that you want going forward. Like these are all good things that, that really help I know, you know, make a difference for the, the people that are my clients or students. And yet, you know, this last week I was supposed to do a couple of these videos and I didn't. Right. And it's like, oh, I don't want to have to like be super energetic. I don't have to really, you know, think through how to describe this in a way that I know will be effective because I'm usually someone that likes to not over explain things. And I think with sales it's really helpful to be really clear and paint a really good picture for how the thing helps you or what the thing is, you know, just, just informing people and teaching people on like this is what it does, this is what it is, this is how it helps you, all that kind of stuff, you know. And so yeah, I am constantly struggling with that. So like, you know, this, this weekend, you know, my three year wedding anniversary with my wife. So we had a trip away and that gave me enough space to of realize that that's happening. You know, with the business part, I definitely was not dreading the, the anniversary. Let me be clear on that. And, but like that fun space that, that space where I'm spending time with someone that I absolutely love in a different way helped me get perspective. Right. And that change really lit a fire for me this week. And so it's really important to, to pay attention to when you are feeling that sense of dread in your life, in your careers, relationships, health, business, well being, all that stuff and to act on it sooner than I did. Right. I probably should have realized that last Monday, but it, you know, took that change in scenery. And so going forward I need to, when I'm journaling in the morning thinking about my day, I need to think like, what am I avoiding? What am I dreading? How do I get around it? What's my plan? And again, so I'm gonna ask you, what is your plan for today, this week, this month, through the end of the year? Because if you're not at like a 8, 9 or 10 when you self rated yourself, then if you don't act, you're actively sabotaging, I think. And it's not that that's bad, right? It's not to like, you know, get on you and say, oh, you're doing something wrong. It's that as a coach, I want to encourage you to live your life to its fullest. I want you to live into your best self and I really want you to finish this year strong. Right? I think we need more people to finish this year strong because it's going to be so difficult. And I think as we go into early next year, we're going to see a lot of people with burnout, a lot of people stress. And you could wait until then to be like, hey, I need help. Or you could start right now and be like, okay, I know what I need to do work wise. I know what I need to do to make an impact, to get financially set. And I know that if I continue doing what I'm doing right now, I'm going to hurt my relationships, hurt my health, not really feel connected to the things that I'm doing. Now's the time to really get that fixed. So that's it guys. If you need help with your plan, right?
