Energy and healing layers of the subconscious. Our body holds score.

In this 14‑minute recorded therapeutic session, Shawna Lynne (the client) and a practitioner (Speaker A) discuss the effects of a recent acupuncture treatment and its role in resetting the nervous system. Shawna describes vivid bodily sensations—energy moving from her toes to her arms, pain shifting from calf to ankle, and a feeling of safety—while reflecting on gratitude, present‑moment focus, and the emotional release tied to specific acupuncture "ghost points" that correspond to organ‑related emotions (kidney‑fear, liver‑anger, spleen‑worry). The conversation expands to a 30‑day cyclical healing model, the importance of daily gratitude, and a safety plan that helped Shawna move past suicidal thoughts. They critique the Western medical system’s limited trust and discuss how acupuncture and somatic practices could be integrated into mainstream care. Shawna shares her professional aspirations as a spiritual psychotherapist, fitness instructor, and holistic consultant, proposing services such as home support, organizing, and nanny‑type care, while questioning regulatory approval (CRPO). The dialogue also touches on broader societal observations about remote work, AI agents, community erosion, and the need for personal empowerment. The session ends with mutual appreciation and an invitation for future sessions.

To be a soccer player.
No moving.
No moving. All right, camera's on. Heat's on. The heat is on.
Imagine giving yourself forty minutes, actually two hours in the middle of the day to reset your nervous system once a month.
Yeah, like just releasing and then laying down. And letting the needles do their jobs.
Yeah, that's amazing. I love it. I know, in the last 3 months since I've been doing this, it's been so, like, so invigorating.
Yeah, I love that. I love that you've, you know, come back and we've connected after your treatments, and you've had some great positive responses to share with me, which I was so happy to hear.
Yay!
Because things are moving and you You feel it afterwards too, right?
No, I came in with gratitude. I didn't want to bitch about anything. I just wanted to tell you how I feel and how good I feel.
I love it. I'm so happy for you.
It's nice you can witness that, you know, not tell me the world is falling apart. That's right, it's not falling apart. My happy place.
All right, so I will step out.
I will see you in a few minutes.
Yeah, I'll come back and stimulate those feelings.
Toodles! If you can imagine, there's not one thought in my head.
Other than I wanted to share that with you. There's no lists, there's no days, there's no responsibility, there's no emotions. It's just paying attention to my toes, to my Achilles, to my hips releasing. The oxygen moving through my body, letting go of disappointment, holding on to boundaries. So there's energy going from my toes all the way up my body and out the other side. I can feel where it gets stuck and my whole body tenses. And then I'm asked to breathe. I'm reminded by the universe to breathe through it. When I know it has shifted, the hair on my arms stand up and I feel the power of the energy going the other way. And the one going counterclockwise feels so good. It's like warm blood moving through you. You feel the warmth. Oh, sometimes this negativity makes me nauseous. I want to throw up. Oh, I know I was smoking cigarettes. I know. Don't do that. Clean lungs. Clean lungs. I get it. I'm here. I respect it. Taking it out of my grief safety plan. I don't need it. Just eat sugar instead. Sugar's bad enough for you. Instead of a cigarette, have some ice cream or a popsicle. Okay, popsicles it is.
Thank you. Thank you. Oh.
There's something stuck in my right calf. A lot of uncomfortable pain there. Whatever it's attached to, show yourself, show yourself, show yourself. I am safe. Oh, I am safe. I am safe. I am safe. Oh, dissipating quite a bit. I am safe. Shawna, you are safe. You are safe. You are safe.
You are okay.
You are safe. Somebody's got you. You are safe. Don't worry. Don't fret. Don't fear. Oh, and that pain is gone. Oh, now it's in my ankle. It's moving out of my body. I am safe. I guess the ankle is close to grounded. I know where I am. I might not know where I'm going, but I know where I am. Right here is exactly where I need to be. This is the present. Stop worrying about tomorrow. You have no idea what's about to come. Just be in today. Can you go without planning for the rest of this year? Make decisions as they come. Oh, that is terrifying. Terrifying. To make decisions, not make decisions, and not make plans. Today is the day I'm doing this. That's it. Tomorrow's the day I'm doing that. That's it. After that, it doesn't matter. I don't know, it's exhausting. Releasing energy is exhausting. It's also invigorating, and that is what I'm going to walk away with. The exhausting is going to leave my body. Invigorating is here to stay. I am in gratitude for the morning I had and for the decisions I made. I am so grateful that I'm in charge of my mind and I could make it to the F45 class this morning. And I'm so grateful that I was able to push my body further than I thought I could, even though I was tired. And I'm so grateful that I know what I'm doing and I know where I am. I'm so grateful for being part of change and accepting it without resistance. I'm so grateful that I fed myself today and I know what I'm doing.
I'm so I'm so grateful.
I'm so grateful for all the things outside of me that I own, that I possess, that I need, and all the things inside of me that are so important to who I want to be. Who I am, my identity. I'm really proud of me. I've come very far in figuring out who I am and what I want and letting go of the responsibility of yesterday and beyond. I went very quickly.
10 minutes?
Yes, you did. Actually, more like 14 minutes.
Faster goes by. How are you feeling? Any other sensations?
I had a really interesting one in my right calf.
Okay.
And then it moved to my left ankle, my right ankle, but oh, oh, it's still there.
I wonder why, um, we should explore that, why it's sitting in this area.
Yeah, please.
What's going on with your legs? Although we Arguing circulation points, joint stuff, tonifying. Where this is an emotional point, it's called a ghost point. We've got the kidneys, liver, and spleen that run and cross paths at that one intersection here, and I do that point on you because it's an emotional release.
Yeah.
And it also soothes all of those organs, and all of those organs have 3 different emotions attached to it. We've got the kidney, urinary bladder, which is fear. Liver, gallbladder, which is anger. Spleen, stomach, which is worry, pensiveness, that hamster wheel thinking.
So all my negativity is right where your finger is?
Pretty much.
Okay.
So that might be why—
Oh, it is. It doesn't want to— it doesn't want to leave.
Right. And here you've got quite a couple here, and you're not feeling that here. But you're feeling it on the feet, right? So yeah, we gotta keep those needles in for a little longer to promote that flow and help it purge.
Okay.
Okay. Yeah, I think it's, it's, it's one of the last pieces of my body to let go of the big emotion. Like, I'm logically— I know my heart's good, right? I feel in my belly I'm making all the right decisions. It's just the belief to step over the line. I'm not gonna fall. It's not a cliff, right? It's just a path, right?
And you're stable.
I think, I think I was— when the leg happened, it was emotion. I felt it. I'm like, get it out. And then the ankle was, I don't, I'm not, I don't feel, or I don't know that I'm grounded enough, right, just yet, right? Like, I think I'm— there's still something that, that I'm left to think about.
Right.
Sort out, kind of.
I don't think— yes, I don't think my— I don't— I do— I know, I just got it. My unfinished business is not finished. I need till the end of the month.
Okay.
Like, November 1st is my next— like, I keep doing everything on the 1st. Like, September 1st was my birthday, and I let a whole bunch go and I rebirthed. October 1st was like the check-in. Like, am I on the right track? Is this all happening? And it was the invitation to just keep sitting still in the dark night. So October's not done yet.
And you give yourself like a 30-day—
It seems to be that.
Kind of cycle to reconvene.
It seems to be that. Like every, every layer now requires 30 days.
Okay.
And has a process.
Yes.
Right? It has like, it has an anger which I, I'm learning to understand. I'm letting go of disappointment. It's not my responsibility to take care of other people. They're grown adults. Let me be. I'm choosing what I want to do and making my decisions way more quickly and not, like, not questioning myself. Yeah, which could hold you back. Yeah. I've walked out of conversations and places where I'm not comfortable and not thought about it after.
Right.
I didn't go overthinking, I just stopped. I'm like, that's a good decision, done.
Yes, and this is where that, that ghost point, that's where that spleen is, where you're overthinking something. It's soothing that and releasing that. So even if you feel as though you've gotten past that hump in your life, that's kind of there to maintain that and help. It's really emotional. It's pretty cool. It's just awesome that it's, um, you're feeling it all in the areas that you're emotionally working on. Yeah, see that?
It's, it's— well, when I lie here, I can feel and then I can think. Yeah, sometimes if I just think on my own, I don't think in the path of pain. I think in the path of future. And this was a big Invitation to just be in the present. No planning till the end of the year.
Yes.
Like, not one plan. Whatever happens is gonna happen each and every day. I'm not gonna think about it. It's just gonna happen in front of me because I laid the path.
That's right.
No more directing or detouring.
Yeah.
Just standing still.
That's right.
That's really hard to do.
I know it is. For, for many.
Yeah, for me, I want to do something and call someone and do it. Every time I don't do something, I'm like, another day goes by, I didn't do it. But really, it's another day goes by that I didn't do it. That's good, right? I don't need to do anything. I don't know what's happening yet, right? And that's safe.
And It gives space.
Oh, that was the sentence I needed. There you go. I am safe.
You are.
And then maybe the next one is, I need space.
Okay.
And it will be okay.
It's always okay, isn't it?
No.
Does it end up being okay?
Yes.
Amazing.
So whatever isn't okay ends up being okay. So I just have to watch okay Be challenged and bring it back.
Yeah, because you're not, you're not afraid of challenge.
I'm not afraid of not okay either.
That's right.
So I just want my nervous system to be aligned with me.
It's getting there.
Okay.
Yeah, even the last couple of sessions, you've, you've shifted with that too. Have you noticed?
Every 30 days.
You got it.
Yeah, this is the third 30, right?
Like, you got it. Yeah, this is the third time.
Yeah. Yep.
Yeah, and every time I do it, it allows for the first to be the shift.
There you go. And you know yourself, you know your body, you know your, your path. So you set that cycle up based on how you feel about how the shifts are happening. So that's good. Yeah, you have that awareness, right?
Yeah, I've been watching my body for the last 3 years since I turned 50. I'm like, what am I not paying attention to that's going to bite me in the ass? And emotions was the biggest thing.
Yes, yes.
I can manage them, I have the wisdom to do so, but they're going to get me in the end if I keep them inside.
Yes, and this, this is the one place that I can truly say that we're using something almost Physical to support that purging. Yeah, to happen, right?
Well, acupuncture has been around for—
oh my gosh, centuries, right?
So why is it not part of our— just our mental health? Like, why doesn't every doctor send their patients to do this once a month?
It's a good question. It's almost like doctors are starting to— the part of their Um, are they?
Yeah, it's Aaron.
Part of their education is now nutrition, which never used to be, right? So alternative medicine and these types of supports may be slowly entering the space of the Eastern entering Western medicine, right? But it's, it's very slow, but it is shifting. There has been Some patients that have come in here where their doctors have sent them in, which was really surprising to me.
I would love to see that happening.
I was happy to hear that because they're starting to turn a leaf, and maybe, maybe there's some more, you know, of us writing our theses or papers and spreading the word and hoping that, um, the two worlds come together because it really is another piece of the puzzle.
Right, and doctors cannot be expected to have the answers to all the diseases and illnesses and identifications.
Aches, pains, like things that are stuck.
How could they do this? Like, they don't have enough time or energy, and no one's paying them to get educated past— like, we have to educate ourselves. The government is not helping us get better at our jobs.
Right, it's right.
It's our own And that becomes the expense of your family or your clients.
Exactly. And of— and not to mention a very different approach, right?
Very different.
Yeah. I wish— I, I— my biggest wish is for Western doctors to be able to like even call me and say, I have a patient with this, I'll be your consultant to— that's a great job. I'll be your consultant to holistic medicine. You tell me what your patient needs And I'll give you 5 referrals. There you go. Like, easy. Ask your patient just to call me and I'll find where they need to go.
There you go. I know, but it's a, it's a slow and steady shift.
I'm doing it. I'm reaching out as much as I can and offering that. I wouldn't have made it through my life with just Western meds. They just wanted to give me medicine. Yeah, here's some pills for you.
Yeah.
Yeah, this is the part. There's a— there are other options aside from the pill.
I went off my ADHD meds and I did start taking the kava. Nice, how was that? Yeah, I, I don't— I'm working at a steady speed with my emotions, so I don't think I have a good handle on how productive I am in a day. With or without the meds.
Uh-huh, got it.
Right? Like, I'm getting things done, but everything that is in front of me is being asked to wait. So I'm cleansing, I'm cleansing all my videos off my social, off my phone. Any video that I made in the last 2 years that I think is angry, it's like getting deleted. Well, that's a good idea. I'm not even keeping it. All those All the lessons I learned, I have them. I don't need the story that was in them.
Yeah, that's a great way to look at it. I love that.
Yeah, so I deleted like thousands of hours of me talking. It was refreshing. And once again, the introduction to talking gratitude and like this.
Yes.
Like, this is what I want to share— the power of choosing me, of self-care, of taking care of ourselves.
Yeah, very important. And, and effective, right? Like, you feel the shift, you know?
Well, there's no way I could stay in the life I was living. I, I was falling again. I was spiraling. Yeah, I had suicidal thoughts again. I don't want those. Yeah, you don't need to be there.
No, and it's— and part of that is the growth and the self-care that you're actually Investing in, right?
Yeah, I have a safety plan. I know how to get myself out of this. Oh my God, did that hurt coming out. Oh, oh, why don't I feel safe? It's gonna— hold on. Yep, don't go negative.
There you go.
The next 2 weeks, I'm gonna feel the safety and the stability I've been searching for.
There we go.
All of the pieces I've been waiting for Are gonna be validated because that's what the universe has told me. There you go. Oh, oh my God, it's interesting. It's like I don't believe you, but I want to.
That's right. It is.
It's like it kind of hurts, but it doesn't.
There you go.
Oh, that's so interesting.
Okay, so the kidney ones are bleeding a little bit, which is great because it's releasing.
Oh, we were gonna do the cupping. Oh, okay. I guess I wasn't ready. We needed one more of this.
Yes.
You know what? You just remind me. I told you to remind me.
I forgot.
I did too. I'll make a note in your file.
I will make a note on my phone. You do that.
You have a video now. Oh my goodness!
I know we had that whole conversation.
Oh, okay. That's okay.
Next time.
There's one more in my hand.
Yes. So I'm gonna. What I'm gonna do. Yeah, um, we'll do 5. I'll leave you for 5 more minutes. I left— I took out 6 needles.
Okay.
Um, because I want to release some stimulation in the legs just because they had the most activity.
Okay.
Um, so 5 more minutes and then I'll come in and we'll massage your hands and your feet.
Okay. All right, 5 more minutes. What is that? I am Holding space for the rest of October.
I love that. With gratitude.
With gratitude. Thank you for the reminder.
You're welcome.
Not anger.
No, no, no, no anger here.
I'll leave your negativity at the door.
Breathe it out, breathe it out. Now sleep for 5 minutes.
It is the 15th. There is 2 more weeks. What am I going to do every day to not make decisions? Every day is just about being in the present. So today I have no plans and no decisions. Tomorrow I have no plans— no, I have a few plans, they're in the calendar. No decisions. Friday, there are plans, but only for one part of the day, and that only because someone— we just did it today. One day at a time. Oh, one day at a time. Only the plans that are going to add value to my life. There we go. That feels better. Knowing that I'm in charge of my energy and I will be responsible with my energy every day. Next week will be another week I know what I want to do. If this week works out the way that I hope, next week will start off the way I hope. But one thing has to go with another, and I do not have to think about it again. Do not think about the things ahead of me, just think of today. I'm going to think about the things I'm gonna leave behind, the things I knew, and only think about the things I know now. Today, what I learned right now is what directs me. Whatever happened yesterday is in the past. There are a couple of loose ends that need to be completed by November 1st, and they're all in the process. I'm doing what's right Right for my energy and my vibration and my— oh, there we go, all gone. Now let's turn it around and put some positivity into it so it integrates. I am grounded. I know that I have an adventurous year ahead of me. I know that I have a year ahead of me and that I do not have anything to fear. I know that the people around me are my support system. My 360 are friggin awesome. They just held me in my last spiral.
Mm-hmm.
It all went away.
See? Just took a few minutes.
It needed that. I no longer am gonna sit in what I knew, only in what I know.
Oh, I love that.
That's my new quote. I made that up.
I know you did.
Pain to pleasure, grief to gratitude is my mission. That's my vision.
Okay.
And my mission is just Oh, I love that. There's lots of plans for tomorrow, but they only depend on what happens today.
That is very true.
And all of the pain went away. I'm safe. I have a safety plan. I have 360— I have people that surround me 360. I asked for what I needed and they served it, and I was safe. So okay. I was full of love this weekend even though I felt empty. Oh, they filled me up. It was so beautiful.
I love that.
And remembering that, that's what I know. What I knew before is people didn't do that. Now I know that they could. I picked the right people. No, I didn't pick them. The right people are surrounding me.
There you go.
Yeah, I want to take the power and the control out of my words. Yes, I think I tried to control everything with my words as well, or hand over the control to someone else or something else. No power goes out of me. I harness it every day. It's mine. I'm not giving it away anymore. You can't have it.
There you go.
I want to keep it. It does good things when I keep it inside of me.
Sure, empowerment. Love it.
And if I share it with someone who also holds power, we both walk away with more power.
There you go.
Not empty.
Double the, double the power.
There you go.
Well, isn't that what it used to be when you'd go to work and you'd have work friends and you'd talk at work and it would feel good? Or you'd go home to a partner that you liked?
Oh my, have things changed. First of all, how many people are at work with other people?
Who they like.
True.
Right? Who are actually doing the same level of work because now we have different layers, right?
Well, and there used to be hundreds of people that worked at a company, let's say. Now it's all a few because the rest are finding other things.
Yeah, or bots and AI agents.
Right.
Agents.
That's a— see that?
That's another power they have.
Yeah, they're agents.
Yeah, you used to go to stores and be able to talk to the, like, the people who work at the stores.
Yes, they were really friendly.
Yes, and sometimes they're not anymore.
Yeah.
Sometimes they're just like so exhausted and tired and knowing that the amount of money they're getting paid doesn't even buy them like McDonald's.
Yes, and, um, They almost sound like AI, some of them.
Oh, well, because that's the only time they get out of the house, right? And the rest of the time they're on technology.
There you go.
Yeah.
No, community is so few and far between.
It's so important. Yeah, it's so important. Um, and again, that's not to say it's everybody that works in this field, but yeah, it's Well, it's every system has— That's right.
Way too many gaps and problems.
Yeah.
So there's even the people who would run the systems efficiently don't have team players anymore. They come up against resistance.
Right.
So like with the school system, in the beginning everyone was like gung-ho to do what I wanted to do. I made so many changes.
Yeah.
Now they're so tired that they don't even want to know from it.
Yeah, there's boundaries all around.
Yeah, medical system. We don't believe in it anymore after vaccines and like people like forcing you to take medicine.
Yes.
That's gross.
That nobody knew it was actually healthy.
Right? Like, you can't live your life or work at this job unless you take this that we don't know has an impact and you trust us. Wild, isn't it? Beyond.
Beyond.
I think I'm still angry at that.
Yeah.
I'm still not comprehending this. Not sure, right? Not sure what the heck's going on.
So it made me really not— like, I don't trust the medical system. It has done nothing to make me trust it ever. Like, every time one person I know has gone there, they have not gotten the care they needed and things have happened.
That's a whole other topic, I think. Like, that's a big topic to—
I just met someone who went to her doctor with She had a lump in her breast and he ignored it.
Oh.
And she didn't listen and she kept pushing. Stage 3.
Good for her.
Yeah. I have a friend who had adrenal gland cancer, went to the doctor, 8 years they missed it.
I was gonna say, that can go undetected for so long.
8 years. She had tons of backaches, tons. No one ever thought to look because she wasn't healthy. She smoked, she didn't exercise. She was angry.
Yep.
Right? So no one thinks to go, and she didn't care. She's like, everything's fine.
Yeah, sure.
Right? When my kids with their cochlear, nobody believed me. It took me a year to convince the doctors that they were deaf.
Oh my goodness.
Yeah, my ex-husband went to the hospital with meningitis. They sent him home 3 times. No one thought to— like, no one looks any further. It all surfaced, and they're like, I know Something's wrong.
Yeah, like a standard response.
But if you don't trust yourself and you don't feel your emotions, how are you gonna let the doctors know? Like, look how hard it was for me to talk to the appliance guy about the noise my fridge was making.
Yeah, yeah.
Like, I had to give him 7 different ways that I heard a noise. I even taped it.
I heard—
And he was still asking me questions.
I heard— I I picked that up too.
Yeah, imagine my body.
Yes.
Well, so my left knee hurts. Well, what is it? Well, it could be— yeah, yeah, it could be cancer, it could be the meniscus, it could be the exercise, it could be balance, it could be anything. It could be just emotion.
How are you feeling?
I'm feeling a little frustrated with that topic.
Yeah.
But again, gratitude for learning who I am, that that's not going to happen to me.
Right.
That's another thing. I can't worry that other people— I have to keep telling people that I'm doing this for my mental health. You too can go on the same path as me.
That's right.
You do not have to stand in your own way. I will help you if you need it. Here I am. I'm not chasing you anymore. Come to me, right? Yeah, I feel like I've been chasing.
Yeah.
I think I just found my niche today.
I'm happy if you did.
Well, I feel it's that family dynamics. Invite me into your home.
I love that.
Right? Fix it by the minute.
I think that's all you.
That's me. Yeah, I love that. I love the energy of people and shifting it and moving around.
Yeah, I love being challenged yourself.
I do not want to sit in a chair ever. I hate sitting in chairs.
Let there be light.
Oh, I'd rather sit in the car to come to you. Than sit in a chair and see you on technology.
Yes.
Invite me into your home. Use all your benefits. That's right. All right. End of the year, you still probably have $2,000. Invite me over. I'll help you clean up. I'll help you organize. I'll help you eat well. I'll help you figure out your flow. Whatever you need, I'll do it. I love all of that. I could be a wonderful stay-at-home mom if you gave me a family. And paid me for it.
That's right.
I could be your nanny for a week. I'll get your house all ready and then you gotta take care of it.
Yeah, Wonder Woman nanny. It's like a, it's like a 7.0 nanny.
I'm a 10.0.
Yeah, you're like, let's go hundreds here.
What do you want? I'll walk with you. Yeah, I'm healthy. Yeah, I exercise. I get up early. I'm self-regulated. Yeah, I can teach you all of that. I can rearrange Oh my God, I love organizing. That's my favorite thing.
I know you would. You— that's what I'm saying.
There's layers.
Level which— choose a package.
Yeah, that's it.
Yeah, there you go.
Will CRPO approve that?
Probably not.
How sad is that?
Very.
Can I offer that to CRPO to approve that as a one-off? Because I'm a spiritual psychotherapist. I'm a teacher. Yeah, I'm a fitness instructor. I'm all those things. I'm more than just a therapist, and people can use their benefits for that and really get help.
Well, if you're using your hour or 50 minutes to do the therapy and then on the, the other hours you're doing what you need to do—
It's all therapy.
It is, but—
I am talking to you about every barrier you have in your life.
That's what I'm saying. Like, I don't think that— I don't think there would be an issue there.
I mean, I'm gonna kind of like develop that and ask, do some research on does it fit under psychotherapy? Can it fit? Can you approve this?
Right, but if you're there for like 8 hours and you're charging 3 or 4 family members an hour each, you still have those other hours to do the rest of the stuff.
Right.
Yeah. Organizing and all that.
Totally.
That has nothing to do with psychotherapy.
Right.
So I think it's—
yeah.
All right.
Thank you.
I'm out of here.
That was amazing. I hope you enjoyed that as much as we did.
Yeah.
And that you want to come back for more. Ask me what else you want to go to with me. I'll take you everywhere I go.
Yeah, she's, she's, she's a world traveler. Toodles.
