In this informal, self‑recorded vlog, the creator (Speaker A) guides the viewer through an improvised movement session that blends dancing, light weight exercises, and somatic breathing to address both physical limitations (stiff knees after an Achilles injury) and emotional baggage. The narration alternates between exercise cues—calf raises, toe‑heel work, tricep, bicep, shoulder, back, and chest movements for pickleball readiness—and reflective monologue about letting go of anger, frustration, depression, and anxiety. The speaker explains how dancing has served as a lifelong self‑care practice, especially for managing ADHD, and describes personal rituals that support mental health (lavender tea, journaling, yoga mat, tarot and starseed cards, favorite snack). The video also celebrates recent reconnection with parents, highlights a sense of pride in personal growth, and outlines a concrete vision for 2025: daily intentional choices, lighter morning workouts, and a plan to host live, 10‑minute movement sessions to build community and sustain ADHD focus. The overall tone is candid, motivational, and conversational, encouraging viewers to be curious, move through pain, and create their own flexible self‑care routines.

Are you ready? We're gonna try something new, like a little dancing to loosen up. I haven't gone dancing in a while, so— and I'm in my small parents' space, so I'm gonna try some dancing. And I haven't lifted weights today. Okay, we're gonna try this. Who knows? I'm struggling to bend my knees for pickleball. My knees have not had exercise since my Achilles broke. Oh my God, they're quite heavy at 10.
Breathe. Time for the knees.
Practice. Feel it, loosen it. On your toes, on your heels. This is what they say to do to stay young and flexible. You find it a little boring just to do those on their own, those calf raises and Tippy toes. I've been adding it into my dancing now that I'm not going to live bands so often. I'm dancing on my own, making it up as I go.
Knees. Knees.
Put some somatic movement in there. To watch the video again. I don't remember the moves. Let go of emotion. Let it go. Past anger, frustration, people who let you down, people you let down. Why do you want to carry it with you? Really want to hold on to that? Let it heavy on you? Let it sit all over your body. Let it take up space in your belly. That's what anger does. Frustration, depression, disappointment— it just takes you down. So find a way to move through it, any way possible. This was my self-care for 30 years. Actually longer, since I'm 18. And I dance for me, my ADHD, just to move my body. If I didn't move my body, all that emotion would be inside me and I'd be a miserable soul. I've had some dips, made lots of mistakes, and also learned how to start to love.
Me.
How beautiful is that, right? How proud can you be when you start to love yourself? Fuck, it took so long. What the fuck? Ah, that's okay. I'm here now, right? I'm not gonna stay in the past. I'm letting that go right now in the flow. I am all of it, all of it, letting it go.
Why?
Be curious. Be curious how to move through pain and grief, disappointment. Be curious how you can overcome the depression, the anxiety, because I don't know about you, but that's all I see around, and it sets in faster than you can say boo. I have a brilliant, beautiful, bold, wonderful life. And I've still hit rock bottom many times and had to pull myself up over and over. But what the fuck, you just do it and keep going. What do you do? You have lavender tea. Yay! You have an iPad with either Netflix or dancing. I have my journals. I have my yoga mat. I have my weights. I have really sore knees. Oh, but I did it. I stayed on my knees. Oh, I have my tarot cards. I have my— I have my starseed cards, and I have my favorite new snack, teriyaki and sea salt seaweed. I'm pretty happy. Those things make me very joyful. Adding the power of the weights to my dancing also gives me this amazing strength I didn't know I had within. I kept letting other people tell me what I was about. That was so ridiculous, but again, my past, that's what happens. I'm over it. I'm owning it. I'm so letting it all go. I am deciding exactly who I wanna be every day of 2025. So far, I'm a couple weeks in and it is going really well. Yeah, way better than I expected. Like, quite amazing, I have to say. And I'm shocked every day, but then I wake up every day going like, oh my God, it's another day of me!
Yay!
Tricep, bicep, shoulder, back, chest. All the pickleball moves we need. I'm obsessed. You know, I get to spend time with my parents, and that's a good thing for the first time ever. It is brilliant, and we are having fun. 8 years, I did it. I brought my parents back into my life with joy. It's pretty awesome. I have a lot to be proud of today. And I own it. This is me, crazy and bold and different, unique, a little strange, definitely ready to do anything because the world is— there's any possibilities and I'm stepping in for this year. It's the year of anything. Let life lead me and I'm just staying Still, it's so weird. It feels so different. I'm kind of liking it.
I'm getting stronger every day.
I think I can do this in the morning from now on. This is gonna be it.
I love this.
I think I'm gonna get lighter weights though. I have them at home. Well, thank you for coming along with me. And, uh, oh, look at that!
I like that.
I'm gonna do 3 10-minute ones like that with some lighter weights. Yeah, you want to join me with that? That would be really cool, huh? I can totally do that and invite you on my live, and we can do that together in the morning. I might try and make that a reality. ADHD, let's see if we can follow that through.
