Spa Talks with Susan Santsche - Hayhouse Movers and Shakers Submission

This is a spoken submission by Susan Elizabeth Santsche (Susan Santsche) proposing a radio show called "Spa Talks" (Hay House Radio). In the monologue she pitches the show’s purpose: to share spa living and self-care practices globally and teach simple home spa remedies (dry brushing, masks, bath additives, dew walking, commute 'Zen'). She frames self-care as health care, offers practical tips (e.g., dry brushing to reduce ankle/leg swelling), describes transforming rooms into 'serenity' spaces, and invites listener participation. She also states personal credentials and outreach: owner of an international award-winning spa and salon, over 35 years’ experience, one of 10 industry leaders recognized for excellence, founder of the Courage Awareness Movement, two-time cancer survivor, and cites industry/audience metrics and prior event reach. The piece closes by positioning Spa Talks as community-oriented programming on Hay House Radio.

Each and every single one of us has a story and the information to help us gain better experience in how to live our life in a daily place. We in the spa world get to have that opportunity daily sharing information with our clients, sharing those positive alternatives. By creating a show called Spa Talks, we have the opportunity to have an international platform to to bring listeners from all over the world sharing resources and ways that they've been able to take care of their self care. Because self care is health care and spa talks is the platform to do that. When was the last time you had the opportunity to have a relaxing spa treatment? Wishing you could make that spa moment last just a little bit longer. Have you ever considered using spa treatments at home to alleviate the common ailments? Hi, I'm Susan Sanchi and I am the owner of an international award winning SPA and Salon. One of 10 industry leaders that was recognized for excellence in leadership. I have over 35 years of experience training industry professionals and helping my clients gain spa escapes every single day. Where we turn tranquility and spa life living into an everyday routine. And that's just what I plan to do with my proposed radio show, Spa Talks. What was it about that euphoric spa treatment that gave you the presence of serenity, calmness? Was it the smell? Was it the sound? Was it the enjoyment of the rich aromas? Those are all things that you can bring right into your home. With spa living. It's allowing you to have a spa day every day. It's by adding simple little elements for you to have the most serene, peaceful life available. Waking up to natural light, having a glass of warm tea, keeping your journal right at hand. It's as simple as adding little routines into your daily life. Those are things that we will look at in upcoming episodes. Week by week, we will add an element and we will ask you, the listeners, to add what element you have added to create peace and serenity in your spa living. In every episode of Spa Talks, we are going to be bringing different spa treatments and spa remedies that you can do right here at home. Dry brushing is a tip and technique that we teach our clients daily to get rid of swollen ankles and help the cardiovascular in your feet and and into your legs. Recently a client of mine who has been a waitress for years had gotten swelling so bad in her legs and her feet that she actually had to leave work. Teaching her this dry brushing technique has alleviated the swelling and gotten her back on her feet. Welcome to your serenity lounge. Your bathroom is probably the place that you Spend the most time alone. So let's change the paradigm. Rather than it's a bathroom, but it's your serenity lounge, it's your wellness center. It's your time for spirituality to awaken within you. Remember when you put your hand on this shower door, when you walk through those doors and you hear the water, it's time for your peace and serenity enjoyment. Have you ever noticed while you're standing under the water, you probably get the most creative thinking? Your mind just is able to be flooded with inspiration. Lean into that moment and give yourself a moment of rest and relaxation. You will find your focus for the rest of the day will be much clearer, much more joyful. One of the most important elements with spa living once you're creating these nice serene moments for yourself, is to learn how to pull yourself back into that spa moment. Because there's going to be times, every time you set time away from yourself that you're going to be distracted, your kids are going to need you, the phone's going to ring, but it's just as easy as keeping things right at hand with where you can just reach into your pocket of your spa robe, pull out an essential oil, take a little bit of breath and get yourself focused and balanced. Creating your affirmations daily that I have as much time as I need for myself right here in this moment. It only takes a minute to get little bits of Spa moments will make your day so much more enjoyable, so much more pleasurable. Those are the things that we will be talking about in upcoming episodes and we will find out from you listeners what works for you. How do you bring that serenity and peace into your daily living? Right here in your kitchen, you have everything that you need to create home spa remedies. We will teach you in upcoming episodes how to create masks, how to create body treatments, how to create entities that can go into your bath. We'll even teach you how to put some rejuvenation and nutrition right into your water bottle. Teaching you tips and techniques every single week that will rejuvenate, revitalize you. Bringing your health and your wellness center right into your own home. We all know how important it is to get out into nature. No matter how much time you have, whether it's five minutes or 10 minutes, just taking a quick moment, walking out into your garden, finding that special place is so important. I have another little spa tip. So once you find your serenity area within your garden, while you're walking out to that, let's use a technique that I have learned from my German friends from the German spas. They do spa retreats yearly and one of the things that they start off with every single day is dew walking. Dew walking is as simple as taking your shoes off and feeling the grass. Did you know that there's 7,200 nerve endings in the bottom of your feet? By getting some refreshment and the dew right up between your toes, it will create rejuvenation and refreshment to your feet. So take some time with nature. Spend your time your serenity, do your meditation in your most charmed area in your garden and just be one with nature. In this week's episode of Spa Talks, I'm going to teach you some creative ways in changing your commuting center into your Zen zone. Think about it for a minute. How much time do you spend every single day? What is it that you need to get clarity and focus to give yourself that last bit of inspiration on your way to work? We've talked about how to bring your spa retreat into your spa bedroom where we will look at elements with sight, sound and smell. We've also looked at the Serenity lounge, your wellness center right in your own bathroom and how we can create that to be your meditation area as well as your daily spa rituals, enjoying your daily spa bath and your spa showers. Spa Talks is much more than just creating home remedies at home, but Spa Talks is a community Sharing interactive stories. As a two time cancer survivor, I realize how important it is to share the stories face each of us have gone through our journeys and have learned how to take care of ourselves in a better way. Preserving our self care is preserving our health care. Sharing positive alternatives has the opportunity to bring spa living and self care all together with your health care. We are an industry that sees 143 million visitors every single year. It is clear that people are searching for serenity and peace in their lives. I am the founder of the Courage Awareness Movement and during our Night of Courage I have inspired audiences of over 5,000 people in the last six years. I look forward to inspiring millions more with each episode of Spa Talks on Hay House Radio, the radio for your soul. Have a blissful day.
