Day 1 - The Missing Key to Manifestation Challenge

Susie Taaffe introduces a challenge built on four statements from Ho'oponopono: "I'm sorry," "Please forgive me," "Thank you," and "I love you." She argues these elements, when combined, dissolve trauma and limiting beliefs by shifting guidance from your head to your heart's intuition.

Hello, welcome to day 1 of the Missing Key Challenge. So I literally just created this over the last few days, and I believe I have found the missing links to manifestation. I don't know, it's not necessarily just manifestation, it's more about just clearing the blocks to living a joyous, like love-filled life. So, which I suppose is manifestation, cuz manifestation is exactly the same thing. So, hello, I'm Susie from Susie Unshaped, and the missing key is actually, there's 4 parts to the missing key, and I feel like a lot of us have already been doing each one individually. But it has never been put together as a process, or if it has, I've never found it. So, and I've read a lot of, I've read a lot of books about this sort of thing and studied things and watched YouTubes on this sort of stuff. So, okay, so it's loosely based around the, and I was gonna look it up, I think it's the Hoponopono. Prayer anyway, an ancient Hawaiian prayer, which is— it was used back a long, long time ago, um, to actually settle like, um, disputes within communities. And, and I think it has evolved a bit more from that, um, um, and it's basically, I'm sorry, please forgive me, Thank you. I love you. And you say the phrase repeatedly, repeatedly. And there's lots of YouTubes on it. You can get it to music and you can chant it and hum it. And so it was— that's what gave me the inspiration to these 4 sections that you're probably already doing. Like, there's 4 pieces that we've forgotten to put together, and that is Compassion. I'm sorry. Forgiveness. Please forgive me. Um, gratitude. Thank you. And I love you. Love. So I think this challenge is about digging into using those 4 pieces together, and then when they're combined, that unlocks The magic, which is you. You, but you without the little wound bits of wounding and trauma and sadness and hurt and anger. All of those parts are going to be integrated in together so that you can actually feel whole, like whole as the sovereign beings that we are meant to be. Okay. So that's the secret. It's putting the 4 pieces together. So I ran a 31-day challenge called Living from Your Heart in a 3D World. And I think on day 1, I would just like to do a recap of that because I think going into this challenge, having a recap of that process is going to set us up for success. Yes. And essentially I started that challenge to A, keep me accountable. Turning up every day is a good way to make one accountable. Um, and B, like everyone's seeing, you're seeing it all over the place. It's like, we've gotta live from our hearts. We've gotta live from our hearts. And I was like, okay, well, I'm gonna commit to this living from my heart, but like, it's easy to say living from my heart, But what does it actually mean? What, like, what does living from your heart mean? And so that I spent 31 days and then some, there's multiple days afterwards where I was still having like the reality, like the 3D world is the part that can trip us up because it's all beautiful if you go to a lovely retreat for a weekend or a week and you're all zen and, oh yes, I feel so amazing. But that's not real life. Like, that's not reality. Like we have, um, jobs or kids or pets or family or, um, like commitments that we have, like that we need to honor. So we can't just live in a Zen retreat all day, every day. So we need to find a way to bring this into our everyday life. And, um, I think the first part, there was sort of 2 parts to that challenge. The first part is, and I only uncovered this as I went through the challenge, and if after today you're like, what is she talking about? I highly suggest you go and do that first, or you can do them together. Probably it would work as well. Because I uncovered the truth gradually over the days, and what I found is. All of those belief systems. And you might ask, what is a belief system? A belief system is stuff like it's been handed down to you from since you were born, potentially like in utero, also in your family DNA and your lineage, past lives, et cetera, if you believe in those. Like the, like these sort of like cellular memory, I suppose, is ingrained in us that things like, you know, I, I should eat a salad. I shouldn't eat that chicken curry that I actually really want. That's a belief system. It's like, well, why? Why? If your body says it wants to eat a chicken curry, you should listen to it. And I will tell you, once I did exactly that. I wanted the chicken curry and I was like, no, I should. Be healthy and have the sweet potato soup. Well, that sweet potato soup made me so sick I actually had to leave work early. So that was like the biggest, like, smack in the face of you should have just had what your body asked for. So that's what these belief systems are like. You've been handed them like you've— like, I should go to the gym. Why? Like, it's, it's questioning why, why, and, and digging into where does that belief system come from? And I have a gorgeous friend Anna, and she, she was having a meltdown one morning because she'd been sick all weekend. She normally swims like at 5 o'clock in the morning every morning throughout winter, the whole time. And she was sick, and I think she'd had 4 mornings off. Like, she was really sick. And she was— I was texting with her, she's like, I really should swim. I'm like, why? You're sick, you're not well. And I knew what was going through her head, and so I just thought I'll have a little play with her. And, and, um, and she said, oh, I just like, I haven't been all week and I'm just feeling— and I was like, feeling what? And she was like, oh, I'm just feeling like, um, like I'm gonna get unfit. And then I was like, um, and she goes, I can't just sit around drinking cappuccinos in bed all morning. And I was like, why not? I said, is that because you're scared you're going to drink too many cappuccinos, you're going to get fat And then you're not gonna be attractive anymore, and then nobody will love you, and then you get kicked out of the herd and you'll die. And she laughed and she went, yep, that's exactly it. So like, like, that's how old these belief systems are. It's like, I need to stay attractive so I don't get kicked out of the herd and I'm accepted. So because if I get kicked out of the herd or the tribe, like back in like cavemen times. You would die because you couldn't survive by yourself. So that's how strong these belief systems are within our core. So it's your job now to start questioning every single belief system as it comes up and just ask yourself, why should I do it? If there's a should involved, you 100% are looking at an outdated belief system. you go, I want to go swimming so badly today, that is not an outdated belief system. That's you wanting to do something with joy. And I mean real joy, not just fake it till you make it. Um, anything with a should— I should do, I should eat, or I shouldn't, I shouldn't do that because of XYZ— those are the outdated belief systems that we are trying— that was what I was unpeeling, because that's the blocks that stop us from living from our heart. Your heart is saying, I want to— oh, the beep. We've got confirmation there. Beep beep beep. Off we go. Um, your heart is telling you something and you're letting these belief systems override it. And your heart is connected to your life source energy. Like, your heart is what keeps you alive. Um, and the heart knows so much more than our head does. Like, this head, thank you for keeping us safe. Thank you for not letting me put my hand on the hot stove because that will hurt, and I really thank you for protecting me that way. Thank you for reminding me I need to pick the kids up from school because again, that would be bad if I left them there. So the head is very useful, but we need to start tuning into the heart as our sat nav. So our sat nav, you know how like you put into the sat nav where you want to go? So let that be the heart's job, and the head will still try and override it. But as every good sat nav— well, most good sat navs, some take you for a ride— but, um, if you go off course, it just keeps redirecting you until you eventually end up like going back on course to where you're where you are. So the more you listen into your heart, the closer you'll stay on course to getting where your heart wants you to go, which is like a joyous, beautiful, miraculous-filled life. And so coupled with that, the second part of the challenge was really uncovering why we are deserving of this. Like, why do I deserve to live a beautiful, amazing life? Like, why Why? Like, and it really comes down to what is the meaning of life? Like, why are we here? Like, why are we programming heart, sat, nav? Like, what's the point? That— or the big— it's a big question. And I have been digging around and digging around with this question for probably 12 years now, ever since I had an unexpected divorce. And the year leading up to that was pretty bad. And I had always expected that I was just gonna be married with kids and that was the life I was going to have because all my younger years, I was, what I was desperate to have kids and have a family. And that was where I saw my life. So all of a sudden when I had the rug yanked out from under me, I was like, huh. Hmm. Okay. If that's not it, Then what is— like, what is the point of this? And boy oh boy, have I found out over the last 12 years. And it has been a journey, and that will come out through the rest of this challenge because I will use the stories to highlight the parts of this missing key that I too have only just figured out. So I'm going to go back and retrace my steps with you and actually put this process So where was I? We are deserving. Okay, so I'm gonna run you through what the challenge uncovered, which is number one, we exist. We exist because the definition of existence is to exist, and the opposite of to exist is to not exist. And if we didn't exist, you wouldn't be watching me and I wouldn't be talking to you. So I think that's a pretty easy terminology that we can confirm we exist. So if we exist, we had to be made from something. Like, we are made from a life force energy, like a universal life force energy. And I like to link that to Um, the Avatar movies where they have the Avatar tree and everyone knows that that life force is connected to everything. The— I didn't— I don't know what the race is called. The— anyway, the blue people and the plants and the animals and everything is in balance and in harmony and everything is respected and loved and cared for. Um, they, they hunt, but they give Like, it's like a, it's like the circular, I don't wanna call it, it's not a circular economy, circle of life, Lion King style. Um, you know what I mean though? It's like into the soil, regenerate, feed the planet, feed this whatever back into the soil, regenerate the circle of life. We'll call it that, but I don't think it's that. But anyway, it doesn't matter. You get what I mean? They were really respectful. of it. And we've forgotten about our life source energy and about the fact that we are all connected. And that's why you feel so good when you go into nature or you sit on a, like, on a beach and just watch and feel the waves crashing onto the sand. Like that energy, that life force. Or the trees, watching them blow in the wind in a storm, or watching the Beautiful birds playing around and, and, and landing on branches and drinking the nectar and having like a lovely time. All of that is life force energy. And us humans have sort of forgotten our way a little bit. And there's 2 parts to that. We did choose to come into this existence, into this body, and we chose to forget. Sorry. We chose to forget, um, like that we are connected universally and that we're all from the same energy. Um, and that energy, the universal energy, is just pure love. That's it. There is not like a little dash of spite and a little dash of jealousy and a little dash of hatred. Mm-hmm. And I'm not sure, I'll have to actually look it up, but I feel like there's actually some scientific quantum physics calculations that could have maybe potentially proven that. But I'm not 100% sure on that. But it— let— we're just going to run with the fact that you have been made from divine source creation Which is, I think what they actually say is that its closest human representation is pure love, but it's, it's the absence of anything not pure and bliss and joy and wonder and awe and all of those words. That's what this energy is. And when we came into this lifetime. I think most of our human lifetimes. I'm— I, I— and I think we're coming online more now to understand this. They call it like living behind the veil, and the veil is forgetting your true nature and your true connection to all, to everything, to all universal energy. And there's many names for it. You can call it God, you can call it, um, source energy, you can call it whatever you want. There's lots of names for it. But essentially it is all the same energy. Like, and that's what I always laughed about religions, and I don't wanna get into a religion thing, but it always never made sense to me. It's like, we're all humans, like we're all the same. And this one over here believes this is it, and this one over here believes this is it, and this one over here believes this is it. And it just was always kind of comical to me. I'm like, it's like, I think that we're all still the same. Like, I don't think it can be that— what's the word— disparate? No. Anyway, that's segmented. Like, we're all human flesh, we're all human bodies, we all are made from the same creation. There's not one God up here just making those people, and one God up here just making those people, and one God over here that just makes those people. Like, if you think, like, it seems kind of comical when you think about it like that. Um, anyway, I digress, which I have a habit of doing. You'll figure that out. Um, anyway, so if we are made of pure love, all of these belief systems and expectations that we've put on ourselves, that we've had put on us, like, like life lessons that we've learned that Like even like rules and regulations. Um, we've been taught to color very neatly within the lines, and that's what we are— that's what we spend 31 days peeling off, peeling off all those layers to realize that you are deserving of pure love, joy, bliss, awe, amazement, excitement. All of the good stuff right now. You don't need to do anything. You are deserving purely because you exist. Like, that's it. Should we do a mic drop? Anyway, so that is a really big component of understanding that, because you have to understand you deserve to exist in your core. Which after working through the process, by the end of it I was like, oh my God, it is so crazy to me that anyone could think they are not deserving of love exactly as they are right now. Like deserving of all of the love and joy and bliss in the world. Like there is not one tiny part of you that is not deserving, and that is purely because you exist. So that is where I would like you to sit to start entering this challenge, is understanding 100% in your heart, in your body, that you deserve to be here. You deserve love right now. And there is a lot of wounds that need to be dug into. And this next process is once you can understand that you will Potentially you don't need to understand it, but you'll prob— like, I think you'll have a lot more success with this missing key and piecing the, piecing the process together. And then we're going to work it on all of the aspects in your life where wounding is coming up and where you're not feeling in alignment with your true soul essence, which is that joy and bliss and amazement and wonder and awe. Like, think of a little toddler. They like are pretty much unaware of all of these expectations and shoulds, and, and, and they go about their day and they go finding bliss and awe and excitement. Like, you ever seen a toddler in a muddy puddle? Oh my God, that thing is the best thing ever. They are in there, they're jumping in it, they've got their hands in it, they're smooshing it everywhere because they're too little to have the expectation and the belief system put on them. You gotta stay clean. Don't get dirty in the muddy puddle. Like you see them eating their food, they're smushing or they're feeling it and texture. They're smushing it everywhere. They don't care. They're enjoying it. They don't want it. They're not gonna eat that. They're like, oh no, thank you. They're not eating it because they should. But then that's where the conditioning starts. It's like, well, you are not leaving the table until you eat all of those things. And, and, and some of the things they clearly don't like, like I had children and They all had different taste buds. Like, one liked avocado, one liked cucumber, one liked tomatoes, like, 2 liked carrots, like, one liked capsicum, 2 liked lettuce. Like, it was a real schmuzzle, but I was not gonna bang my head against a wall trying to force the kids that didn't like certain things to eat those things. And they were so— they were pretty cute. They were always like— I don't even know where they found this statistic, but They were gonna say, Mum, we've got twice as many taste buds as you, so things taste different to us. So I was like, well, how could I argue with that? And certain palates— and I actually believe that if you don't like a food, I don't think your body wants it. I don't think we should be forcing someone to eat something they actually genuinely don't like. Like, that for me is cooked carrots. I love raw carrots, but if you cook them, Oh my God, like it makes me gag. That, and I think whatever happens when the carrots go from raw to cooked in the cooking process, whatever the chemical process inside the cooked carrot is— look, I'm really digressing now, you'll get used to this— um, my body does not want it. Rejects it to the point where it makes me feel sick and I cannot swallow it. I'm like, I have to get— I can't, I cannot eat it. And I've even tried like There might be in a curry sauce or something. I'm like, oh, maybe I like them by now. And I put in my mouth with a strong curry sauce and I'm still like, cannot eat that. Anyway, long story. I don't even know how I was here. Like I was talking about kids and with their belief systems and, and how they're so much more bright-eyed and, and less conforming. And we need to kind of get back to our toddler, get back to doing what we wanna do. Like get back to Like finding joy in a muddy puddle and, and, um, and smooshing food and like playing. Like, remember kids, you give them a bucket of water, they will have fun for hours. Like, maybe we just need to have some more fun with some adult-sized buckets of water. I don't know. Um, and I am really digressing now, but okay. So the missing key is compassion first. Then forgiveness, then gratitude, and then love. And that is the framework that we're going to be working with for this challenge. Um, this is day 1, so I haven't really told you much about the challenge. So what I'll do is I'll just give you a little taste for what it's gonna look like. Um, so it is a process. where you are going to speak to yourself. So I like to imagine it's like my higher self. So your higher self is basically your, um, you call it like your spiritual self that sits up above you, like up in the— energetically. This is energetically, and it doesn't have all the human ego layers and belief systems and shoulds and shouldn'ts and stuff on. placed on it, because this is the— those beliefs are a brain thing, a mind thing, and your higher self doesn't have a mind. It is just the pure heart spirit. So, well, you could even call it your heart speaking to your head, if you like. Like, it's your heart saying stuff to your head, because your heart has that same universal source love. Like, it has that same unconditional love for you. that the head has like put all these rules and filters and things on top of that makes our lens distorted, that we can't see ourselves for the amazing, beautiful, wonderful people that we are. So the process is we're speaking to our heads, our heart speaking to our heads, or higher self, or you can pretend like it's a, you know, like the really supportive grandparent or, or Sister or mother or like best friend, anyone that's really supportive. You could imagine that you're having a conversation with them and they're telling it to you. The point is the brain is being told this, and we are going to connect these dots on situation after situation after situation in your life. And I believe this is the missing key. Because I've done a lot of shadow work, which is the integration of the parts of yourself that you think are not good enough. Basically, any of those belief systems like that make you feel shameful or guilty or bad about yourself, or I shouldn't have done that, oh my God, I can't believe I did that, I'm so XYZ. That is the compassion part. And then the forgiveness is so For it, let's, we'll run an example. Okay. I am so sorry that you felt so alone over the last 6 months. And then I would say to myself, I forgive you for putting yourself in that situation, not having enough support. in place or lifelines or whatever it is. So we are so sorry for— I am so sorry to you for the situation. That is how you're feeling. I forgive you, which is a way to say to our brain, like, I forgive you basically for not knowing any better in that situation. Like, we got into that situation, but I forgive you for it. So you're giving yourself self-forgiveness. So you were, I'm sorry, there's the compassion. I forgive you, there's the forgiveness. And then thank you for being so brave to survive the last 6 months or that situation, whatever it is. Like, thank you so much. Now we're giving ourselves thanks. And then I love you because you took the leap anyway, even though you didn't have the support or the, or the network in place. Like, you did it anyway. I love you for that. Like, I really love your brave heart for doing that. And so it's a 4-step process that I feel like with the 4 pieces together, it's going to neutralize like desensitize, neutralize those feelings that we're sort of shoving in the closet. Um, like I have done so much gratitude work, I have done so much self-love talk and affirmations and all of that, but I think the key is the front end and it's the acknowledgement of the hurt and the pain. That's the part I was bypassing. I kept jumping to the, it's gonna be okay because I know I'm deserving and And gratitude. I know why I need to be doing it this way. And like all of this, except as opposed to just saying, I am so sorry that you feel this way right now. Like, I am so sorry that you felt that way. Like, I am so sorry. And we are talking to us. This is a purely inward journey. Like, we are not gonna be forgiving anybody else out there. And that will be a whole nother topic and conversation because This is all about us. That doesn't matter. None of that ever has mattered. And that's the biggest trick in this reality that we've been shown is that external forces matter. They don't. In simple terms, they just do not. So that is the process we will be doing. We will be no longer shoving. See, I'll point to that cupboard there, shoving all of the Hurt and sad and angry parts of us away and jumping to the gratitude. Like, we've all done gratitude to the— ah, can't speak. We've all done gratitude till the cows come home. Gratitude journals, this, that, and the other. Where have we done the part where we say, I'm actually so sorry that happened to you? And you can just start with that phrase if you wanna practice something. I am so sorry that happened to you. And actually, a real— if you wanna have a little bit of homework tonight, you can jot down all the stuff that's really irritating you at the moment. Just write it all down, like blah blah blah, blab it out, and then read it back to yourself out loud. I am so sorry that XYZ is making you feel that way. I am so sorry that the next one is making you feel that way. Like you can just start with the, I'm sorry for tonight. If you wanna go to, I forgive you for, so let's go, for example, let's give you one more example. I am so sorry that that person has taken you for granted and is now being really rude and mean to you. Like, I'm so sorry about that. And I'm like, I forgive you for not setting boundaries that were firm enough and allowing that person to take advantage of you. See, so I'm sorry that you feel taken advantage of and having not nice things at you. And then I forgive you for not setting the boundaries. And then thank you for being the person that you are that has such an open and generous heart that does give whilst not setting very good boundaries, but, but does give from an abundant, overflowing place. And I love you for being that person and don't ever change. Maybe with some more boundaries, but you know, I'm terrible at them, so it probably won't happen. But I love you for it. I love you for being that person that gives generously and overgives and tries to help people in need. Like, I love that about you. That's a really beautiful part about you. So see the 4-step process. So if you wanted to just start trying to do it yourself, that would be Fantastic. Um, and it's funny because the— it's— I think it's really, I'm so sorry you went through that. The I forgive you part, I think we're gonna need a couple of days on that because we've gotta unpack. Like, you know when you get so mad, like so mad at someone, and then like after you've sort of calmed down a few days later, you're like, mm. I'm actually really mad at myself because I kind of let that happen by not doing XYZ at the front. So am I really mad at them or I really mad at myself? Me. Me. I was the one that didn't— well, I was the one that expected other people to be like me and expected them to give as generously and to like help out as much as I do. So It's a naivety, but it's my own fault because that's not the way the world works. So anyway, I'm going. We've talked enough too much for the first day. Anyway, forgiveness. We will cover that off, but try that. I am so sorry. I forgive you. Thank you, and I love you. And for each situation, you can just start for each one of your errs. Try it with the person. You don't have to write it out. You can just say it. Write out all the annoyance and then just flip it and say it. I am so sorry. And you can keep going on the same one at the, if there's lots of charged points about it, keep going on it until you feel like a release or just like a sense of, huh, like you, you feel it start meaningless. Like feel, not meaning. Meaning's not the right word. You've got to feel it like lose its charge, basically. Okay, I love you lots. I've talked too much. Happy first day of The Missing Key, and we are going to put all the pieces together because that is the secret. I love you lots. Bye.
