Day 17 - Living From Your Heart (in a 3D World)

In this solo wellness session, Susie shares the challenges she faced while trying to record Day 17 of the "Living From Your Heart" series. Illness, a packed schedule, technical glitches, and the pressure to meet her own "should" created a vivid example of the 3‑dimensional (3D) reality of everyday life. She uses the experience to illustrate how the habit of pushing through expectations can be a lesson in itself. By listening to the physical relief she felt when she finally allowed herself to rest, Susie discovers a practical signal that the heart is guiding her: when a choice brings immediate relief, it is likely the right one. She encourages listeners to create breathing space, check in with their heart’s needs, and use that relief cue to make heart‑centered decisions. The episode ends with an invitation to a guided "coming back to your heart" meditation, reinforcing rest as the day’s theme.

Hello and welcome to Day 17 of Living from Your Heart in a 3D World. Now I'm Susie and this is the Susie Ann Shape Sessions and we are digging into how we can come back and live from our hearts but with the reality of, of life like 3D and so Day 17 got me a 3D whammy. Like, it's actually day 18 today, and, um, and I had to— like, I— we're going to talk about this because this is the 3D reality of life. Like, yesterday, which was day 17, I wanted to record, and then just things kept blocking and coming up and Um, I had a lot of 3D responsibilities and commitments. And you know what, by the time I got back home and I could potentially record— it's actually really interesting because I've also still been feeling sick as a dog. Like, this sick illness will not just disappear. I feel awful. And we had to leave super early in the morning and we didn't get back until it was dark last night. And so I always normally film with natural light, so I was trying to get the end of the, like, sunset, like the glow coming back, and Trying to set up my phone so that it would record, but the sticky thing wouldn't vacuum on. Like, like nothing was working. So then I was— and you know what? It was a message because I was pushing myself. I was pushing, pushing with a should and the expectation that I had said I was going to turn up every day and I was going to record. And so this was a lesson of my own. Construction, not even a lesson. This was, uh, peeling back the onion layer of my own construction because everything I've been telling you, like the shoulds and the expectations and remove them and so that you can live from your heart in peace and joy and like calm— yesterday was my big like 3D projection of that. I was tired. I felt like crap. I was like, I couldn't get the setup to work. I couldn't get the lighting to work. I could like— do you know what I mean? Anyway, eventually I, I managed to get a setup to work, like in my daughter's bedroom behind the door with the light. Like, it was— it wasn't brilliant, the light. I looked kind of creepy from the, the night lighting. It was just— it wasn't really working anyway. So I pressed record and then guess what? What? I started coughing and could not actually get the words out. So when that happened, I was like, okay, I see, I see the message here. And the message— like, I was still trying to push it through though. Like, I was like, okay. And then I sat with it and I was like, okay, what do I need right now? And, and it was— the message was clear as day. It's like, you need to have a rest. So I was like, okay, and I literally just lay on the bed and did nothing. You know, that sort of like blank, like I'd given myself permission to rest. And I just lay there and just vagued out and just stared off into the distance and just blanked out for a while. And I did that for a bit, and then I thought, okay, that's okay, I'll just— I'll have a rest and I'll record later. Um, I'll, I'll look after myself first and then I'll record later. Anyway, later never came because it was then just looming here. It was this expectation, this should that I'd placed on myself, just sitting back here. And so then what I sat with and I said, okay, what do I actually really want? Like, what does my heart want right now? Remember, I felt sick, I felt tired, I felt blah, and it was like, do you know what I want to do? I just want to curl up on the couch and watch some of Modern Love, the series I'm watching on Amazon Prime at the moment, which is just all these cute little love stories. And do you know what? When I made that decision that that's what I was going to do, oh, just the relief that I felt. The relief I felt when I took those expectations off my own shoulders. And that's why this living in a 3D world, we've got to be our number one advocate. Like, in between all of that, I had been— I'd done the washing because I needed it for basketball today. Like, I'd fed the kids, I'd cooked 50— like, You name it, I've done it. The house was a tip, and it still is a tip because that's one thing I shoved to the side. It will eventually get done. I still feel sick and tired, and we had to be up and early, out the door at bus— for basketball early again this morning. But I just thought, what a brilliant example of how to come from your heart in a 3D world. When I was walking the path last night And I was like, I, I was carrying the burden and weight of my own expectations. And when I took it off, oh, just that relief that I felt, full body relief. So where can you like give yourself that relief in your 3D world? Where can you listen to your heart? Like, listen, really listen, and maybe that's a sign. Maybe the sign, the signal, is if you make a choice and you feel immense relief, I feel like that's the right choice. Like, does that make sense? When you make a decision And you feel that relief. Ah. That's your heart saying, yes, thank you. Yes, thank you for choosing you. Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for choosing me. Oh, now we can breathe. So just breathe that in, and do you know what? Choose you. What do you really need right now? What does your heart really want? I think the first part, the key, is actually just to give yourself a bit of breathing space so that you can even think what that might be. And then, like me, like I am a slow learner. Like I should have the second I got home last night should have put my pajamas on and hopped into bed. But I didn't. I'm a slow I'm a slow study. But once I felt that relief, I'm choosing it faster next time. I'm choosing that relief faster. And so today we're back from basketball. I will probably record day 17 and 18 in the same day, but right now I'm going to go and have another rest. And just— it's beautiful sunny day, I might sit in the sun and just close my eyes and just have a rest because I am exhausted. So what I'm going to do is I'm actually going to back to back onto this video a beautiful coming back to your heart meditation because day 17 Is a day for rest, no doing. And if you've got the time to put the meditation on now, I'll link it separately as well so you can come back to it later if you want. And we are just gonna give ourselves this space and time to just rest and come back into our hearts. There's a butterfly I can see out the window. I love them, they're so beautiful. Just come back into your hearts. Give yourself that space. So I love you lots. Choose you, choose you. And if the if the choice feels like relief, it's probably the right choice. Like if it feels like relief. Because you're releasing those expectations off your shoulders, it's probably the right choice. Okay, I love you lots. Bye. Oh, the meditation's coming.
