In this introductory monologue for Month 4 of the Wings of Hope series, Susie Taaffe shifts the focus from outward compassion to inward self‑love. She calls listeners out on their inner critic, urging them to replace self‑judgment with kindness. Drawing on a personal experience of an inner‑child meditation that brought her to tears, she illustrates how the love given to a younger version of oneself can be redirected to the present self and even future selves. Susie outlines the month’s resources: a guided kindness meditation that encourages listeners to see their own strength and survival in the mirror, journaling prompts, reflection questions, and an affirmation sheet that can be cut up and placed in a jar for regular reminders. The tone is supportive, therapeutic, and encouraging, aiming to help listeners flood themselves with the same compassion they readily give to others.

Hello, I'm Susie, and welcome back to Wings of Hope Month 4, where I'm really excited to share with you the topic of self-love and compassion and coming back to kindness. Now, I know that you're all very good at, at loving and being compassionate and kind to others, pets, Children, siblings, mothers, fathers, friends. You are excellent at that. But this month is about flipping that. And how about pouring the love into you that you give to everyone else? So we are so tough on ourselves. So this month, A, I'm calling you out on it, that inner critic. You are never— no one will ever be as mean to you as you are to yourself. So I'm calling you out on it, and we are going to stop the inner critic and flip it around and actually learn how to flood ourselves with kindness. Because if, like, I love— I remember actually I bawled my eyes out when I did one of those inner child meditations, and little Susie, she was about 4 or 5, popped up. Oh, my goodness. And she was so sad. And the love that I could give to her was just— it felt amazing. And then I realized you can give that to yourself now as well, and you should. So if any younger versions of you need extra love, potentially if you're super duper, you could give future versions of you love too. But let them know that you're there for them like you're there for yourself. So we've got a beautiful meditation Um, which will help you to come back into kindness and help you look in the mirror. And instead of just seeing a reflection, let's see the survival in your eyes and the strength that it takes to be here right now and the warrior blood in your veins. Because you are beautiful, you are amazing, you are so strong beyond belief. Like, what you have done to even survive till just now is just— Amazing. So we have the beautiful meditation. Listen to that as many times as you need. And we have our journaling prompts and our reflection questions. And we also have the— I love my favorite— is the affirmation sheet. So cut them up and put them in a jar. You can mix them with past months if you want. Pull them as often as you need to, just to give you a little reminder that you are enough exactly as you are. You are so loved, and you are so, so beyond amazing. So I hope you enjoy month 4, and
