This is a YouTube short titled "Actions speak louder than words #shorts #viral #trending #fypシ #ytshorts" (created 2023-11-18). It contains a single-speaker English monologue about mismatched words and actions in a budding romantic relationship: the speaker describes a great first date, frequent messages and calls, but repeated scheduling conflicts because the man is often away or busy (including a newly booked trip). She feels his affectionate words aren't matched by availability or prioritization, leaving her unsettled about whether the relationship will progress.

Let's talk about when your words don't match up with your actions. I always think about that old cliché, which is actions matter more than words, and I think that's especially true in relationships. This week my head has been slightly turned around by a guy that I met earlier in the week. We had a really fantastic date. We had loads of laughs. We had really fun sex. We had a really good time, and clearly he felt the same way because there's been lots of messages going on between us. Phone calls. We love the sound of each other's voices, which is also quite distracting, but it's been very difficult to figure out when we're going to see each other next. I'm a weekend-only girl because that's the way my life pans out. I have a busy working week, and so I'm usually only available on weekends. And him, on the other hand, for the past 3 weekends has gone away. He's got elderly parents. I suspect he needs to see them more often. They live far away. He's got an active social life. He's got a very busy job. And so clearly he doesn't have much time available. And when we tried to meet up and I suggested next weekend, he said yes. And then yesterday he told me that he booked a trip, which for me indicated that I'm not yet a priority in his life. I get that. But it also suggested to me that all of these messages and all this stuff going on isn't potentially going anywhere because if he doesn't have any free time and he's not available on the weekends when I'm available, then, you know, we are mismatched in that way. All I know is at the moment his lovely words, which are making me feel good, um, matched with not really much action is making me feel quite disconcerted.
