Can you maintain a relationship with an ex? I think it's very personal whether or not you choose to carry on a relationship with an ex, but in a different way, say as a friend. For me, I have always gotten into relationships with people who I fundamentally liked, and it wasn't always just about the intimacy. It was because I just really enjoyed their company. So for me, turning a relationship into a friendship, a platonic flirtation, friendship I've never found particularly difficult, but I do think that it's helpful if there's a bit of time and a bit of distance between having that relationship and then turning it into a friendship, just to give both people the opportunity to have a bit of a rethink, reflect, and reset the relationship in a new, in a new way. My current best friend is my ex. And, you know, that's, that's what we did. We had a, we had a little bit of time where we didn't speak to each other so much so that when we did reset the relationship as a friendship, it just felt a lot smoother and it wasn't as hurtful to either of us to do that. But of course, it's a very personal thing. Some people find it very, very difficult Some people not so, but for me, I think if you like the person, why not carry on being in— having them in your life?
