As you age, stop looking for a partner who checks every box from your twenties. Instead, design a relationship around what actually matters now: shared interests, physical affection, travel, or just companionship. Your priorities have changed. Your relationship should too.

Let's think about designing the relationship that we want at this later stage of life. I think one of the big things that we often do when we are looking for a partner is think about them in the same way that we did when we were younger, and we might have had far different expectations out of that relationship, right? Might have been thinking about somebody who could be a father, look after kids, you know, support us, be be financially stable, all this kind of stuff. Not that, you know, that stuff's not important, but at a later stage of life, you might have different things that you're interested in. Meeting up with somebody for cultural visits, for instance, or just meeting up and having sex, meeting up and just having a cuddle, just finding somebody who wants to go traveling with you. I think there's so many different ways that we can think about our relationships as we're older, and it's really up to us to consider what's really important for us rather than just trying to capture or recapture that relationship that we had when we were younger, because we're not that younger person anymore and things can look different and that can be really, really great.
