Older women shouldn't feel ashamed using lube, but check the ingredients. Glycerin in many lubes can raise sugar levels in the vagina and cause yeast infections. YES!, a female-founded brand, makes glycerin-free options including plant-based, water-based, and moisturizing formulas.

Let's talk about lube. Do you know what's in your lube? Firstly, nobody should be ashamed of having to use lube because it provides that extra help that we sometimes need. But what's in your lube is really important because actually some of those ingredients can cause more harm than good. The one ingredient you want to go out of your way to avoid and make sure it's not in your lube is glycerin. That's an ingredient that can actually promote more sugary substances down there and lead to things like thrush, and nobody wants that. The brand I would normally recommend is called YES! You can find a link in my bio. It's completely organic, it's glycerin-free. They do lots of different types. They do one which is plant-based, and that's sort of the equivalent of using a silicone lube. They do one which is water-based. That's what you want to use if you're using toys. And they do a moisturizer that's just going to keep things nice and juicy down there and plump and basically prevent vaginal atrophy. You will find a link in my bio. It's called YES! Check them out. Really brilliant female-founded company that I can highly recommend.
