The excerpt is a spoken, first-person monologue by Suzanne Noble in which she describes signs she believes indicate a woman has watched a lot of porn—difficulty achieving orgasm, assuming acts like anal sex are normal without understanding necessary preparation (including reported physical harm), and broader cultural influences such as extreme cosmetics, eyelashes, nails, and buttock surgery. The tone is observational and personal rather than a multi-speaker discussion.

Suzanne Noble: How do you identify a woman who's watched too much porn? Now, we talked about— I talked about men watching too much porn and how to work that out, but for me, I think the biggest sign that a woman's watched too much porn— and I speak from personal experience, although I don't watch it anymore— but in the past, I've noticed that it was difficult having an orgasm if I viewed that material too often. Similarly, thinking that some of the acts that you see in porn are now just a general requirement. More specifically, things like anal sex, where lots of young women, I understand, are thinking that that's just a normal part of heterosexual sexual activity when it doesn't have to be. And I spoke to a gynecologist years ago who said that as a result of young women watching too much porn, they were turning up at clinics with tears in that area. Clearly showing that what they'd seen, they thought they had to reproduce, not recognizing the amount of preparation that goes into that if that's what you want to do. And then just more broadly, more culturally, I think some of the fashions that I'm seeing on women, absurdly long eyelashes, crazy nails, you know, cosmetic surgery on their asses, all that sort of stuff seems to me to be directly reflected by what I've seen in porn. And maybe it comes from somewhere else, but it, to my mind, I suspect that's where it originally came from. And, you know, I think sometimes it looks a little bit ridiculous, but hey, everybody's free to do what they want to do. But I think that that's just a few of the things that I've noticed when women watch too much porn or are influenced by porn more generally and more culturally.
