Let's talk about why your partner may not want to have sex with you. It's something that I hear all the time, that especially women, they're just not up for it. Um, I think there's a number of reasons for that. One is, yeah, of course, sometimes our hormones do dictate that things just aren't as juicy as they once were, and Sometimes when you're in the menopause or post-menopause, sex can actually be quite painful. And if it's painful, you know, we just don't want to do it. If you are having painful sex, then I would advise seeing a healthcare professional. As a woman, I've been on vaginal estrogen for a while, and I can tell you it is absolutely transformational. So that could be one reason. Second reason, of course, is that some women just never have really explored their own desire, what they want. They've just done sex in service to men, and as a result of that, when they get to a certain age and it's no longer a requirement, they just think, I'm done. I don't really— didn't really enjoy it. Maybe they didn't really, you know, know what enjoyment was, and as a result of that, they just decide they've just had enough and they're just not up for it. And if that's the case, you You know, I think the best thing you can do is go for some counseling and learn what— how to speak to one another about sexual desires, because some of us, all of us, have got fantasies, and often it's really hard to explain to your partner what's going on in your head, especially if you think that you might be rejected. So, you know, communication is number one most important thing when it comes to to having a great sex life is just knowing how to communicate what you like and what you want with your partner. Of course, if you don't know that yourself, then, you know, it can be hard to explain to somebody else. And the third thing is just like, just the stresses of life. It's just being tired, being under stress. Maybe you're doing all the housework. Maybe you're not feeling like a lot of the stuff that you'd like to be shared is being shared and you're taking on all that responsibility. Ability yourself, and therefore sex is the one thing that you can say, you know what, I don't have to participate in this. I'm doing enough already. I'm done with doing that. And withholding sex is some sort of power trip, right? So I think there's that as well. But, you know, if your partner is not up for having sex, the best thing to do is to find ways to talk about it, because if you don't talk about it, then nothing's going to change.
