Thinking about first date energy and that excitement that you feel when you're with somebody for the first time and all the bells and whistles are going off and you're thinking how fabulous it is. And one of the benefits for me about being an older person is that that first date energy thankfully doesn't last very long, usually about 3 days. Day 1, I'm still in that high. Day 2, sort of coming off it and thinking a little bit more logically about whether or not the person that I'm with actually has any long-term potential. And usually by day 3, I've come to the realization that, you know, our circumstances might make things difficult, whether that's because one of us is just not generally available on the weekends. As I've said before, that's my preferred time to meet people. Or maybe when I think about what went on, maybe it wasn't all that fabulous. It just felt fabulous at the time, but I know that first date energy for me when I was younger used to go on for weeks. I could be longing for that person, really desiring them, feeling quite dramatic. And first date energy as an older person, couple of days and it's gone.
