She used to think online dating was great, but now she's exhausted by it. Every guy's profile looks the same: racing bikes, mountain photos, dogs. She misses when someone's actual personality, their weird humor, made them stand out instead.

I take back everything that I said about online dating a few weeks ago where I said it could be interesting and fun. And I am suffering from online dating fatigue, which doesn't take long to set in because I suspect that it's caused by the same things that it caused in me 20 years ago, which is a lot of profiles that frankly look very similar. Men in Lycra on racing bikes, men on mountains wearing skiing goggles, men rock climbing, all of this kind of stuff to prove that they're still virile, or with their cuddly dog to prove that they're lovable, and not really anything that really stands out. And I remember years ago when I was in a relationship with someone that I did meet on Tinder, I recall that his profile was quirky and fun and interesting and made me laugh, and it wasn't— he didn't have any of those stupid pictures on it. So I don't know, ladies, is this the kind of stuff that you like, seeing guys on bikes and up at the top of mountains and stuff? Or would we just rather hear from you what it is that makes you interesting?
