How soon after you've met somebody do you tell them that you love them? I know back in my younger days, sometimes those three words would escape from my mouth at the most inopportune moments. A hot guy once met, I said it the first time we had sex, immediately regretted it. We'd only just met, I didn't know anything about him. But nowadays it takes me a long, long time to say those three words because I know that in the early days of a relationship, when all those endorphins are going on and I'm feeling like so sexed up for somebody that I imagine that I love them when actually I just really love the sex. But, you know, then I get to see where they live and I realize, oh my God, they're a slob, or they voted for Donald Trump, or they never want to go traveling anywhere, or they don't really like to plan things, or any of the other things that sometimes drive me crazy in a relationship. And then I immediately think to myself, no, I don't love this person. I might like having sex with them. I might just like hanging out with them. By then, maybe the sexy stuff is all gone. Who knows? All I know is it takes me ages to fall in love with somebody, but that's just me. Lots of people say it quickly, and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. What about you? Are those 3 words really important to you? Do you take ages to say them, or do you often just say them early in a relationship and it's all fine and dandy? Let me know.
