A guy warns against paying for dating apps that show fake match counts like "2,205 people like me" to pressure you into upgrading. He'd rather have a few real matches than inflated numbers that mean nothing.

I wanna talk about the way that some dating apps reel you in by suggesting that there's a lot of people that are interested in you if only you would just spend that little bit of money to become a member. And recently I joined an app and I went to look at it the other minute and it said that 2,205 people like me. Can you imagine 2,205 people? How would I have the time to meet all of those people? Where would I find the time? I wouldn't, I can't, I don't have the time and it's not going to make me want to join telling me that there's that insane amount of people. I don't even believe it, it's not true. All I want to know is that there's a few people that are interesting, that I think are interesting and I may want to meet I don't want to meet 2,205 people or even 1,005 people. I think most people just want these dating apps to actually give you results that are potentially quite interesting people, as opposed to just flooring you with these humongous numbers, which are just not of interest to me.
