Older people and masturbation

Two older adults discuss how sex changes with age: arousal takes longer, orgasm matters less than pleasure, and mutual masturbation teaches partners what each person likes. Many men don't know where the clitoris is.

Let's talk about masturbation, because yesterday we were talking about edging, and today I think, you know, let's talk about masturbating, because you know what, even as old people we do that.
Yeah, I wonder how old you have to be before you stop doing that. Probably you can do it forever. In the words of Nora Ephron, you have to be dead. That's right. But it does change as you get older, and it starts taking as long as sex does, you know. Well, you chase the orgasm and it kind of doesn't arrive, and then and delays and delays and delays, you know, and working from what we said about edging yesterday, there's something similar that goes on, I think, with masturbation in general for older people. You know, that's my understanding of it anyway.
Yeah, I mean, if we're representative of all older people, who knows? But all I know is that it takes a lot longer for everything to get aroused, get excited, and that goes for masturbation. And Mostly I don't get to the end, the orgasm end, and I just go to sleep at some point because I've just decided it's not that important. And I think that's the thing, it's like, just take it for what it is. It's pleasurable, it feels good, it feels nice. You can do it to each other, you can watch each other doing it if that's your thing. You can just enjoy the experience. I think the useful thing about masturbation though, if you do allow somebody to watch you, is that it can teach you a lot about the other person, just about how they like to be touched and how the intensity at which they like to be touched. I think that's quite important.
And where the clit is.
And where the clit is, which for so many men— and I'm sorry, somebody left us a comment and said, shouldn't people know that by now? Yes, I agree, they should, but unfortunately they don't. So one of the great things about masturbation is that you can use it as a bit of a teaching tool, teaching tool, But yeah, if you don't cum, it's no big deal. And I think at some point we just have to stop chasing the orgasm. And if it happens, it's great. And if it doesn't, it's fine.
Yep.
